Blue Hawaii BJT Build thread
I used aluminum oxide pad for all. I don´t know if it´s necessary but I feel more secure.

Blue Hawaii BJT Build thread
I run my BH at 20mA and it run HOT, very HOT, so uses a nice heatsink

SRX-Plus Build Thread
I have always thought that the SRX-P "marries" especially well with my Lambda Pro and I like to use this combination with soft or relaxed music, voices, etc... I think they make a perfect combination.

yes... for this reason I buy them in multiples of 100

Blue Hawaii BJT Build thread
I found the answer to my question on GG thread because I had 1/2w resistor and then I changed to 2w for this: If you use my BOM, that would be 10k/.5w as you used. A experienced builder told me grid resistors were super hot because it was connected to the internal structure of tube. I later changed to 470R/3w, just because I have them in stock. KG said the value doesn't really matter. T2 used 20k. BH used 470R. Now, what else? if 1/4w is fine...

I have not checked the temperature of this resistance, but in the BH and the GG I used that reference without problems. *When I was referring to using a higher value, I meant a value greater than 470R.

Use 71-CCF02470RJKE36 but really if you want, you can use a superior value. For two channels (2 pcb´s) you need 4 trimp.

Balanced to unbalanced board
If nothing says otherwise, I will try to match as closed as possible P to P and N to N.

Balanced to unbalanced board
Thanks Pars. On our boards we haven´t any reference. I guess that we can use the OP27 on the buffer too.

Balanced to unbalanced board
In buffer and Un/bal board?

What are you listening to Part the Third
Black Sabbath

and now for something completely different part 3
Thanks Dr. Gilmore. I will use this for a while until I build my un/bal preamp.

Something different to luvdunhill Death "the sound of perseverance"

I running 4 board balanced. OK, I´m using 180mA and this sound very well. I'll probably leave it that way definitively. Yes, sure, my CFA is more powerful than my Dynalo MKI and SS. About Dynahi, I have dudes but CFA is very powerful too. I need compare it when I´ll have time. I have a doubt. I would like to use my preamp bal connected to this amp directly. The output impedance is 100 Ohm (typical), Will I have problems ?

I´m listening to my LCD2 and I´m agreement with your appreciations. I wonder if this amplifier will be more powerful than the Dynahi Bal.Did you notice any difference between 180mA and 200mA?

The side that broke is the one that is in contact with R10. Could this be the cause?

KG Balanced Dynahi build discussion thread
I have several tester but this is the most practical and simple for me that I am a beginner . I use it for almost all our projects.

yes, only matched P~P and N~N

I measured one of my That340.

Cold start with matched sand (at 2%) and led's, B= 23,33 Vdc, Bias around 150mVolt (drift a little); I have 35mVolt on both channels (offset). This is very stable, no drift. After 30 minutes, offset is 28mVolt and 29mVolt. Probably with a closed matched the offset can be around 0mvolt. I'm using a Toroidy audio spec. (180VA with 24vAC x2 sec.) I haven't issues with temperature on amp. This afternoon I'll start other two channels but I think that the GRLV will need heatsink in her chassis.

R9. When I removed the resistance I kept a piece of it in the pliers. I'm not sure if this is the cause of the problem or it was the tantalum condenser. The Zeners were fine and R10 also seemed to be correct.

goldenreference low voltage power supply
I´m sure that Opa is OK,I have changed it three or four times. Sorenb, yes I measure -3.23volt across R9 and 10V across R10. I was work on this área and I changed R9, R10, 1N914 diodes and C3. I´m not sure but I found this: Probably has nothing to do but who knows... I measured C3 and it´s 9,8uF but I changed it for other. Finally: Thanks for your help and patience boys

goldenreference low voltage power supply
Thanks boys for replies. Yes, I use the ver. 0.44 so + is in front. I have before regulation -33Vdc. Maybe I can be wrong but I think that the bridge is OK but... (By the way, Pars, thanks for the diode board) Yesterday I was checking and cleaning up some things; 1. R9 and R10 it´s ok (2k and 1.5K). Identical values on both sides 2. I changed Q2,Q10,Q13,Q11, Q5 (and D6 for try something) With the same result. -13,23volt. 3. I move trimpot (100K) but I haven´t any variation The first difference that I find between both rails is at the anode D6 (-14,9volt) and D4 (+15,64volt). 4. Volt in Pin2 and Pin3 (OPA134) is -10volt This afternoon I will concentrate on the area of Q12, 1N914 and Trimpot.
