  1. Wooo Good discovery !!! Thank you It's like 80's glam or rock-metal... I´m thinking on Kiss, Van Halen....
  2. Thanks ! I'm using other quartets and I've found two that work relatively well (8 EH 6AC7 "Platinum Matched Quad"). Offset is located at -8 and 14Vdc and low to -3 and 8Vdc. Now I feel more code to listen to the amp. I'm listening to it right now, It's totally silent and I like its sound although the sound is a bit "bass" for my taste. In the first and second stages I am using 6189 Sylvania JAN and ECC83 Svetlana W"C" . I'll leave a little time before going through those E80CC... what the hell? I'm going to buy them now ? About 21K resistor I think that you used a 50K in parallel to 21K . I think that it´s a good idea use parallel resistor here. This resistor is a 3w and runs to around 45º. Edit update: 47K parallel to 21K, now I have 302Vdc. Some pics ☺️My amplifier is not finished yet. I have not been able to order the wiring, finish the LEDs, etc... Megatron and my "Universal HV PSU" P.S. yes, I know, the appearance of all my amplifiers are the same. ? P.S 2º this amp runs HOT like hell
  3. My megatron is already working. A couple of details: 1. HV 456Vdc and -452Vdc instead of 300Vdc I have 267Vdc, should I change the 21K resistor (I prefer something in parallel to it) or can I leave it running with 267Vdc? 2. Offset is between 40 and 29Vdc although the balance is about 5 and 7Vdc. With this offset I have not dared to listen to it. Should I change the output tubes? 3.Amp runs hot, very hot, very very hot ... no pets friend
  4. Thanks for your replies.
  5. Que mala leche!!!
  6. Happy birthday Brent!!
  7. Maybe you have right but for example I don´t want to spend time found obsolete parts or checking if my sand is a fake or not. One thing I have very clear is that I would never clone the box for example and presumably this is one of the most expensive components. I doubt that Dr. Gilmore wants to redesign the box. For other hand and following your way of thinking, for example I wouldn´t have a BH since the original has obsolete or hard to find components. Thanks to Dr. Gilmore and his latest revision I have an amplifier that otherwise would be impossible to do (for me, of course I suppose that it will be much easier for you). I do not know if I explain myself correctly and I do not want to offend anyone either. It's just my point of view. However, seeing that there are so many "buts" maybe a ver 2.0 is not a good idea.
  8. I was thinking on a version with current components. Not a clone, rather an improved version. It's the same thing that happened with the BH. Why not with T2?
  9. Really, there's no interest in a T2 "version 2.0" ?
  10. Happy Birthday!!!

  15. Guys, Dr. Gilmore has done a review of the Buffer's design. Includes several improvements like two servos (one for the input and one for the output) resistance for the input impedance, trimpot for bias ... diffinput5b - CADCAM.ZIP diffinput5b.PDF All in the same size as the previous board. These improvements help solve the two problems that I have encountered: A) Oscillation by impedance in the input B.) Offset due to Fets Thanks Dr. Gilmore
  16. Thanks, but it's not impressive either. You only need; A "portable" GRLV (Or rather three GRLV ) Four CFA´s: And Unbal/Bal boards: At the last moment I decided to add a phono preamp (a VSPS) for MM and a capacitative buffer. With a knob you can select the line inputs (one XLR, two SE and one SE for the phono preamp). With the other knob you can select from where you want to send the output signal; directly from the unbal / bal, from unbal / bal + Cap buffer or put the mute. Unfortunately I have not been able to finish the preamp yet. I need to finish Diamond buffers. I have also been working on lighting the volume control.
  17. My CFA-Unbal/Bal system VSPS: Unbal/Bal preamp not finished yet
  18. Matt Lange "Altered Tensions" I'm not a fan of this kind of music but I have to admit that this is a nice albúm between Dance and Electronic
  19. Congrats, Tyll!
