  1. I bought a party pack of Feather blades years ago that will likely see me into the ground...ridiculous number of blades. Love my Feather safety razor...a lot. The quality and general weight of it is satisfying and suits me...my fine motor skills are questionable...LOL. HS
  2. That sounds delightful. I've only made the traditional spaniard ones with the toasted almonds in the center. HS
  3. Beautiful fare! What did you stuff the dates with, Grahame? HS
  4. Can't say I have ever seen a Trans Am that sexy.....woof! HS
  5. We went to Musaafer in the Galleria (Indian). It had been a few years and I have to say they have upped their game which was not too shabby previously. We went the tasting menu route and had to take the main dishes to go we got so full....first world problems. Here are a few of the dishes. HS
  6. Yummy chow! HS
  7. I felt obligated to post this. Drinking Onyx Coffee Lab's Columbia Jairo Arcila Lychee. No....just no. I literally just wrote Onyx. First time in over two decades of making coffee that I very much felt the need to provide the feedback. I believe they added actual lychees during the fermentation process and the result is I will likely toss the remaining beans in the bin. WTH?!? Save yourselves....LOL. HS
  8. We watched Becoming Led Zeppelin on Netflix last night. Very enjoyable...missed it on IMAX but such is life. HS
  9. Godspeed, Brian... You had one heck of a run. HS
  10. Godspeed, Sly.... A true innovator and one that did it with class IMHO. HS
  11. That is heartbreaking! WTH is wrong with some people... Sam
  12. Last night we saw Simple Minds....super show. Really impressed with how strong Jim Kerr's voice still is and how good a shape the gent is in. Modern English was the first act and did a great job. Soft Cell, unfortunately, was a bit of a disappointment. Can't help but wonder if they need a better sound engineer. Overall, great show and nice to run into some old friends. HS
  13. Look like chargrilled yummies. Making me peckish... HS
  14. I'll take a shot of tequila in celebration of your craftsmanship! HS
  15. I learned something about wheat today. Eincorn...new to me. Very cool. HS
  16. Steve, Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Mothers and their sons...it is real. Godspeed, Ms. Frances Johnson.... Sam
  17. Tried a new to us local restaurant, Maison Pucha Bistro. Pleasant experience on the food and drink. For anyone in H-town, I would recommend the escargot, beef empanadas, the bouillabaisse and the lamb osso buco. I asked them to make a rye sidecar and they did a great job...not overly sweet. HS
  18. We finally got to see a local band that hadn't played local in a couple of years or so after they grew quite popular. Khruangbin...very eclectic, groovy music. Great show. Helado Negro opened. Pretty cool act I was not aware of previously. HS
  19. That looks great. I have tried and I've pretty much given up. Tastes great, but the art thing I'm screwing up consistently...LOL. HS
  20. So sorry for your loss, tkam. Godspeed beautiful boy... Sam
  21. Far too young. Godspeed, Val... HS
  22. Please accept my sincerest condolences, sir. Godspeed, Tom... Sam
  23. I recall Singer's early cars and being somewhat shocked at how amazing they were and how pricey they were. Probably one of the best investments car wise looking back...they seem to do little but rise in value and haul ass elegantly. HS
  24. Those tortillas look legit! HS
