  1. Very easy to do. One wants to get the car out of harms way and without a bit of rubber relief to act as a cushion...ouch. HS
  2. Beautiful car. Someone needs a curb feeler... HS
  3. The Ford GT is major boner material.... HS
  4. Wow...some amazing productions. Holy Thursday is amazing to my ears. So much in one tune. Was not know this gentleman's work so thank you for sharing. RIP, Mr. Axelrod. HS
  5. Something tells me that is going to leave a mark, Arthrimus....on my wallet. Cheers for the recommendation. HS
  6. I've been thinking about some logical setup to help my aging eyes with the finer work. Was thinking perhaps a jewelers type setup or something but have not investigated anything seriously yet. HS
  7. Good stuff, congo. I like the look of the Hakko micro handpiece / pencil. Might have to spoil myself with one of those. HS
  8. I haven't a clue. He has a video where he describes all the parts he uses as I believe he receives many questions. It's over an hour long... HS
  9. and he definitely does not hold back on opinions...no inside voice...LOL Thanks for posting, congo. HS
  10. I watched part of Rossmann's video soldering a chip on a Mac or the like...damn. Soldering free for all. That man doesn't play. LOL HS
  11. RIP, Sir John. For some reason I always recall his performance in The Hit when I see his name. Twisted story line and exceptional acting as usual. HS
  12. Wow...I had not heard that theme song in a good long while. Major flashbacks to my formative years. RIP, MTM...you will be missed! RIP Maggie and Butch. Not much of a pause from 2016... HS
  13. That RS is sexxxxyyyy. HS
  14. Oh no...I hope your mom came out OK. We had several of them in the family. Started with 240's in the early 70's, Weber carbs and all. I think they really became great cars with the addition of the Bosch fuel injection and overdrive....fun and practical. Hard to beat the lines on them short of a Jag and that's another game altogether. HS
  15. Thank you, Gents. Sincerely appreciated. I have my fingers crossed for the boy. He is a 17 high school kiddo but truly means well. Off to college later this year which will be our first out the door and a serious adjustment for the family. I wish I had the pleasure of having met many of you in person as I expect my friendly banter is probably lost in translation. I do intend it to be in good humor. The only car I have left with an old school clutch is my little 1978 Datsun 280Z. Just like the one I drove in college except this one only had 4 speeds and my original girl had overdrive (5th gear). I bought it to teach my boys how to drive a synchro. Fortunately my oldest son truly enjoys it. Number two is TBD. He just turned 16. The Challenger used to have a 6 speed Tremec but I couldn't keep it alive with the increases in power. Shame really. HS
  16. I may be 50, but that wasn't that long ago.... Scoliosis here but not terrible. I simply have to behave and use the right bed, etc... My 17 year old son, unfortunately, has two herniated discs (L4 and L5). Terrible pain in his back and back of his leg from the sciatic nerve compression. He had an epidural steroid injection Friday. Starting to feel better, but his varsity basketball season is over. Poor kid. The transmission in my Jeep SRT is an 8HP70. It's pretty good considering the Jeep weighs 5500lbs w/o me in it. For context I've gone 0-60 in 4.1 seconds with zero modifications...it was a cool day. I can kick the shit out of most sports cars at our local road race track (MSR) in sport setting so I hear you but meh... I like to drive. My straight line stuff I do in my Challenger. It's an automatic now but I generally shift it manually anyhoo as I have both options with the flip of a switch and then using a ratchet shifter. I hear you about the dual clutch designs but they've been hit and miss including in Porsches. So as long as you only want to recall the last few years, OK...I get it, but it's not been all gravy. I won't make some purist argument about manuals. But I know what I enjoy...whether it's a heart shaped ass and a C-cup or a sports car. You can wax on about your preferences all day long. And as for track time, we should dance HS
  17. In all seriousness, the R-Tronics in the earlier cars had a lot of issues. No secret. As for me, I enjoy driving a manual transmission. I have an 8-speed paddle shifted trans with variable settings available on the fly in my AWD Jeep with launch control and a torquey 6.4L naturally aspirated motor so it's not like I don't get the auto bit. Simply enjoy the tactile side of a manual for sport. HS
  18. Because some men like playing with their sticks.... HS
  19. I drove a friend's. Gated shifter. Can't recall driving a softer clutch...ever. Almost put my foot through the floor. Whoops... Do love AWD. HS
  20. RIP Mr. Cernan. We were fortunate to have him speak at one of my son's school events some years back. HS
