  1. I've noticed myself increasingly listening to my HD650 out of the GS-1 with Dynalo+ boards versus my 007A MkII out of my KGSSHV Carbon. For whatever reason the TH900 hasn't received much love at all but I figure it's the peaky treble.....anyhoo. It dawned on me. It's the damn spring in the 007A up against my ears that's figuratively a pain in my arse...fricken uncomfortable. Those damn springs are coming out. Undecided on the port mod. HS
  2. Wheels look great! HS
  3. Very nice. HS
  4. Oh no. RIP Erin. Hope you are in a better place. So sad to see actors that slide after a great run. RIP Mssr. Scarponi. HS
  5. Yeah...I thought it was fairly befitting... HS
  6. This is just plain wrooooooong...LOL. HS
  7. I had a hoot of a time, S. Made it to the Unlimited finals but I ended up backing out. My transbrake was intermittently allowing the car to roll a few inches and I'd drop the second bulb / red light. Kind of a PITA so we loaded the car, had a cocktail and kicked back. Let me see if I can get some crappy vids loaded...photobucket is not being a friend. And here is my transbrake acting up. For those that haven't used one, what works best is getting the line pressure up a bit to help it "bite" so you footbrake and rev slightly then hit the button and hope it bites. I have a two-step I use in tandem so it keeps the rpm's at a set point yet allows me to mash the pedal. When it works it is an elegant way to focus on your timing of launch. When not...it looks like this...LOL vroom vroom.... HS
  8. Attended the Viper Nationals at Royal Purple Raceway last weekend. Needed a fix since I had to depart the Texas Mile early due to a family crisis. Some really cool rides there. I did a poor job of capturing pics of them (e.g. some Audi's, Lamborghinis and a lot of Corvettes). Here are a few shots though. Love the Snakeskin Green vipers. HS
  9. Dang....that makes me feel old. RIP, J. You made my dreams better with that video... HS
  10. LOL. Methanol is NASTY stuff. I used to use some for water/methanol injection in my race car before I went to turbos (far more efficient and cooler than supercharger). Made the mistake of buying some to mix my own. I should have just bought the pre-made stuff but I wanted to know what I was putting into the motor. Control freak I guess... HS
  11. ^^^^this. One hell of a run and he made the most of it. RIP, Mr. Rickles. You made your mark... HS
  12. LMAO....I needed the chuckle Nice call on Bring a Trailer! Was not aware of the site. HS
  13. Any internal shots? HS
  14. RIP, Mssr. Kakehashi. HS
  15. There is just something bad ass about a fast wagon, especially one that's a stick car. I could do without the red mirrors and the symbol across the side as I prefer understated shock the hell out of the guy in the Corvette at the light factor HS
  16. I think the gent is high on the asking price, but no denying this would be a hoot to drive... https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/audi/s4-avant/1932313.html?refer=news For the Audi fans in the house. HS
  17. That is great news, TMoney! Best of luck on the home. They'll keep you up at night at times (my house is pretty old so it's a fair amount of work), but home ownership is a great thing. Well worth the effort and expense in my case. HS
  18. Thank you all very much for the kind thoughts! My wife was very close to her mother and that has been the toughest part. Fortunately the service was lovely and we celebrated her life after the burial with a crawfish boil. She was a southern belle from Louisiana so it felt right and it was...a joyous moment in a week of a lot of lows and to-do's. HS
  19. Yes....rough year thus far. RIP, Mssr. Baker. We buried my wife's mother yesterday. Touching event. I was doing great until my youngest son elected to speak a few words. Made me proud, but I cried like a little girl. She was a strong woman and very tolerant of my taking her daughter and grandsons around the world as a result of my career. RIP, GG... We love you. I'm glad I imbibe... HS
