From a business perspective, I thought RMAF was better than the regular CanJams (note I did not go to RMAF last year). And there was plenty to do outside the show as well. For me the biggest difference is people didn't stop by my table to be overly critical of Amp A vs Amp B or anything like that, like they would from Head-Fi. People were blown away by the sound from the Omega II, and they would have been at any table. So overall it was a more positive experience for the people involved

  6. who should be in charge of making a custom t-shirt for the meet? the lower the quality the better
  7. well airfare already went up $90 from the previous weekend, but that's ok. tickets purchased. as for gear i'm going to try to have some prototypes there. vicki--can you bring your BHSE?
  8. i did see these being sold by a distributor and they were around $8 each in low qty
  9. not quite. $1.50 to $3. alternative: pay $1.50 each and order 2000 from taiwan.
  10. im in, please make dates more clear damn...$160 roundtrip to TPA from my local airport that weekend. usually the airports 80-120 minutes away are cheaper, not this time. must confirm dates prior to purchase
  11. im still getting some requests for these. any more will be $3/foot + shipping, minimum 16

  14. heh, with Apple, one company cannot license it and then provide it to another. Apple has to approve every device and every company
  15. the RIAA agrees
  16. i thought the Krell actually took the analog output. The Wadia does in fact do digital. Portable could be a whole different story, although I think JH would be able to make a more convincing argument than most on why they want the digital output (DSP) rather than simply "it sounds better than your ipod's DAC". Apple doesn't want anyone releasing a product that Apple wouldn't release.
  17. it's Apple. their licensing fee per unit is actually extremely low for our market. the fail comes in every other way. you know they won't make this easy.
  18. im going to be pissed if people say "No 24/192 support??" when I release the 24/96 async USB DAC

checked the flights again. i'd have to take a 10am shuttle on Sunday to make any of the flights that don't result in an overnight layover. so still Monday. really hate that this is 3 days + 2 days of travel.

i wish. i guess i could consider packing it up early and leaving sunday, but its a little late for that now. there were no late sunday flights that were practical. so leaving monday afternoon
