  1. I've no effing clue. I think it must have been rotting for some time. I mean, I've never seen rubber so discolored and withered before. Oh and I had a real ball getting it off freaking Rockville Pike.
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. On the drive home from work today, I got a flat tire. Figures, right after I sell my amp. :mikey2: No nail on Earth could have caused this. I mean, What the FUCK? Car is a 2000 Honda CRV. These are NOT the original tires!
  4. This is going on my office wall. Today.
  5. We got that bitch locked down
  6. **shudders**
  7. ahem... http://www.millionpennyhomepage.com/ http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/ ....that is all.
  8. prolly, but wheres the fun in saying that?
  9. If by obnoxious you mean shit-ass ugly, I concur.
  10. I never understood the point of Darths. Why not just get a better headphone to begin with? I just chalked it up to people wanting to "support the community"
  11. No. I feel that at times they appear gaudy.
  12. Oh man, I never turn one click on.
  13. I should note that I got the iphone back in July (or was it June?), so the basic rates may have changed since then. My plan was the "$60" plan, which after taxes and other various bullshit always ends up being almost exactly $70. Whatever plans are available, factor an additional $10 onto for bullshit charges. Not that other phones dont do the same thing, of course.
  14. I believe there was some texting available, but yes, the unlimited data was almost certainly not included. That is actually the best feature of the iphone, as far as I'm concerned. I looked at the data prices for other phones and its insane. If I can get the blasted thing to charge more, I'll try again tomorrow and get more details on this plan. There was something else she offered, that was $20 a month, iirc, but it offered basically nothing at all.
  15. Heh heh..it is a bit nuts lately. Even when I'm coming into an unusually large amount of music in ....other ways.... I've never been able to completely shake the Amazon habit. Especially with an Amazon Prime account. Having that prepaid shipping turns it into a siren song. There are definitely times where I need to slow down for a few days and go back over old material some more. But its one more thing to look forward to, to go back and really begin to deeply analyze your albums. One thing thats really changed is how I listen to my music, after buying so many discs. I used to listen to songs, in short spurts. Now I've grown accustomed to listening to entire albums. Part by design, part by accident, but it really helps to get a firm grasp on everything. Individual song listening makes everything far too sporadic and disjointed.
  16. I was trying to cancel my iphone account on the phone today (I get no service at home or work) and my phone died before I could finish talking to the "support" (pfft.) personel. For some reason it doesn't want to charge when connected to USB or wall USB mounts. Anyway, after asking me why I wanted to quit, I mentioned I get bad reception, and that "I can no longer pay for it". She offered me a $30 per month contract with less features (no mobile to mobile, and something else). I am on a $70 per month plan right now. I verified that the terminatin fee would still apply, since it would necessitate terminating my original contract. So that would be ~ $170. I am probably going to cancel altogether still, but you guys with phones should pay the termination fee and rejoin under the cheaper plan. Just FYI.
  17. One thing to keep in mind, if my experience is any indicator, is that CD Rom drives are usually anything but quiet when playing back albums. At least in Foobar.
  18. I have absolutely no fashion sense, so dont feel insulted by anything I say. I didnt even know they made boots like that.
  19. Honestly, a week is such a long time to remember all my Amazon activity Lately its been dozens every few days. One way I am justifying it to myself is I've decided that my current economic transport is good enough to hold off on a super expensive SACD player. Actually, come to think of it, I had to get the transport to be able to listen to everything I'm getting, as it takes a while to rip all this stuff properly, and scan album artwork. Especially when you are trying to scan the entire booklet, back sleeve and disc. edit; LPs are significantly less. Music Matters subscription (2 per month avg) and the occasional gem that is low in stock or pre order. Though I did get 4 copies of A Night In Tunisia in addition to my subscription copy, that will remain sealed until there are no more sealed copies available new or used, if you catch my drift
  20. Got inspired by the recent Art Pepper discussions, and I am already working on the OJC CD catalog, so just purchased the entire Art Pepper OJC helping:
  21. This is part of the txt file, from notepad: There were...a few more than what I've quoted here.
  22. <mumbling> bite your tongue, chris, bite your tongue...</mumbling>
