  1. Give it to me as a early Christmas gift... this will solve many of your troubles. The warranty will not go to waste, you do not have to worry about returning it or scratching it, and I am not strapped for cash.
  2. Will be replacing my cabinet of lead-acid batteries with two of those as soon as I can.
  3. Despite popular belief, spending money is not going out of style. You can hold on to it occasionally.
  4. ^ can you stick your head up any further, Brent?
  5. Pretty funny article stating that the screen on the sport version is better because it is less reflective. Apple claimed they couldn't do AR coating because it is prone to scratch. Seems they really should have consulted with watch manufactures some more. The outside surface of the sapphire is not he only place one can use AR coating effectively.
  6. Brent is right, there are some occasions that a Hooters or a Budweiser T-shirt are not appropriate and I must wear a wife beater instead. That said, I'm waiting for my AppleCare policy to come through before I will venture outside with my watch.
  7. Most of the EII I have found tend to be in pretty good condition as they are almost always an addition to a collection and not a daily wear. I'll get the appraisal pics of my 1815 posted at some point, Reks. Just need to get in front of my computer at home. I did post some images from the seller, either here or the consumerism thread. The funny thing is I will never wear it as I never wear a suit.
  8. I stay away from any device specific kickstarter campaigns for that reason.
  9. If it doesn't have glidelock I am not interested Did they show you how the bracelet is sized? It looks like maybe there are friction releases on the inside of the band of some of the links?
  10. ^ They are beautiful watches. My rose gold 1815 is amazing, even though I do not like gold.
  11. Crap, I never thought about getting cases for my watch... I better do that so I don't hurt the sapphire crystal or steel.
  12. Heh, heh some more. I was 3-4yrs old when you got your first Rolex
  13. Nope. Their selection is terrible. The A Lange Sohne boutique is nice if you haven't been and they are your sort of thing. Canal Street also has many fine watch dealers on every corner
  14. I'm convinced that 38-40mm is ideal - Has a presence, but is by no means cumbersome.
  15. Thankfully you lived to speak about it!
  16. ^ that is the Golden Eye Bond edition - made in 1995 I believe
  17. ^ agreed, I have not had to reboot mine for 3+ years now. Obviously, mine is not the most current generation.
  18. Finally a Rolex that actually fits me correctly. The new bracelets have more removeable links, which is great for me.
  19. Seriously, another 1-4" of snow today - tonight.
