When I was in Hamburg many years ago I heard several MBL speaker models with Burmester amps and with big $ MBL amps. I was totally underwhelmed, but I also dislike big B&W and Wilson speakers Symphonic Line with smaller German Physiks speakers on the other had was an incredible combo. I know you really like your pair. What are driving them with? MBL amps?

Eroc - Eroc 3 (1979)- How big is your music collection?
I am way over my vinyl excitement of many years ago. It was just way too much work for me. Plus vinyl has a lot of annoying issues like hiss, cleaning, side flipping and groove echo and these things take up space. I get LPs now only if they are dirt cheap or not available on CDs. Don't get me wrong, good LPs on nice rig will sound superb and it is still a lot of fun to spin vinyl, but I would not want it to be my main media. The only things that require more work are R2R tapes I can see why so many people are moving a way from physical media to digital only, still for me CDs/SACDs seem to be perfect in terms of sound, size and convenience.- What bizarre foods have you eaten?
Mustard or horseradish with beats. Ketchup on tongue sandwich is just not kosher at all- What bizarre foods have you eaten?
It tastes a lot like rabbit or hare, very tender. If you know how to make hasenfeffer you can cook it just like that.- What bizarre foods have you eaten?
Had it a nice tongue sandwich from a Jewish deli just the other day. Anyone here likes roasted or baked marrow bones?- 2009 HC Holiday Gift Exchange
What exactly is that Weggy Ebby tea and where do you buy it?- How big is your music collection?
That's a lifetime of listening, or maybe even two lifetimes- How big is your music collection?
Damn! Thats a lot of records and CDs. 8000 LPs must be a bitch to store, that stuff takes up space and is heavy. That is one of the reasons I am gearing towards CDs, a bit more convenient to store.- How big is your music collection?
I searched the forum and did not find such a thread, so inspired by this thread I would like to ask head-casers this: how big is your physical music collection? By physical I mean CDs, LPs, SACDs, R2R, music DVDs and etc, basically any original media. Let's keep any CD-Rs and digital files out of this I have nothing against digital stuff and copies, it's is cool, but I would like to know what original goodies you got stored in your bookcases, boxes and basements I have about 1500 CDs, 200 LPs plus some music DVDs, and god does this stuff take up a lot of living space.- Which Head-Caser's Music Collection Do You Envy?
Deepak, got a list of what you currently have on vinyl and CDs?- Which Head-Caser's Music Collection Do You Envy?
I really don't envy or lust after any particular collection. Well I do like this guy's ability to find rare and cool stuff I am slowly building my own little collection of stuff that I am interested in. I guess the sad part is that majority of the stuff that I have is of no or very little interest to anyone else- What bizarre foods have you eaten?

Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom - The Days of Mars (2005) I like it, I can hear Berlin school influence all over this album. Good stuff.- 2009 HC Holiday Gift Exchange
Go this cool black package from Dusty. Now I got to listen to what was in the package: In the Nursery - Hindle Wakes (2001) Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom - The Days of Mars (2005)- What are you listening to Part Two
Michel Waisvisz - In Tune (2005) Interesting compilation of tracks from Crackle and some live in studio recordings from 80's, 90's and 00's. Gives a glimpse at Michel Waisvisz's live performances. He never recorded albums after 1977's Crackle so this kind of compilation is essential and vital for connoisseurs of experimental electronic music. http://www.head-case.org/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_tongue.png' alt=':P'> He stuff is nothing like other pioneering electronic acts (German, French or US) so if you never heard him live or never heard Crackle you are in for a surprise.- 2009 HC Holiday Gift Exchange
Agnostic, in USSR New Year was a kind of a substitute for religious holidays I grew-up with this and carry it on just because.- 2009 HC Holiday Gift Exchange
