All the ovens! (raises spatula)

Yes and no, this other stuff I've been listening to is less jazzy and more funky, so it's easier to listen to.

More 70s funk fusion -- anyone familiar with this genre? I'd love to hear some more recommendations of titles to look up. I'm familiar with the important titles of fusion -- Al Di Meola, Return to Forever, Jeff Beck, Billy Cobham -- but less familiar with this stuff. I've been really digging it so far!

Ah. So the opposite of a tandoor, then.

Is a “slow cooking oven” the same as a crockpot Aka slow cooker? If so then yes, I live by my crockpot, do most of my cooking there. Will try the rice toasting thing, that sounds interesting. Actually, will try all those suggestions, it’s funny that everyone has their own favorite method and they are all different. I might even have run across a Zojirushi that I forgot I bought, should start using it.

need to work on the timing—salmon and sauce are cooked and eaten; rice is still simmering.

I believe if I understand this correctly, this is all the drummers with whom Tony Levin has ever played -
Not sure why this popped up on my YouTube feed, but glad it did -- this is outstanding 70s funk fusion. Rip Ryo

That's not a leaf? (takes off glasses, wipes them with a microfiber cloth, a la Dr. Bunsen Honeydew)

The Never Ending Search for a Music Server

Yeah, I can't really hear the difference either, especially through my Equators, which are my primary source of listening these days (best $300 I ever spent). That said, I still prefer knowing it's lossless over Spotify Premium, it's just a psychology thing to me -- if I think it's better, then it's better, innit? I kind of wish I could convince myself that "bits is bits", but I suspect whenever I finally get around to putting together any of my better systems (Gallo 3.1 or Dynaudio Special Twenty Fives or JMLab (Focal) whatevers I have), I will be able to hear the difference. But yeah, by all means, go with your own findings, they are the only ones that matter! -
Was: Superfat! Rawk! Is (technically, also was, but more recently was, as opposed to priorly was): New Elder! (Also rawk!)

Heavy as a marble slab. Dirge. Monolithic. These are words. https://tidal.com/album/132683354

So...basically biscuits with pork barbecue topping, eh?

The ones with Edgar Froese are much better than the ones after his death. The ones with just Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane, and Ulrich Schnauss are just a pale shadow of the real deal. And I'm not saying that as some kind of nitpicker, the difference is night and day. There's absolutely no sense of melody in the newer material.

I wanna know how they got Aimee Mann to smile...and on drums...

I made sloppy joes yesterday. It’s basically the same as my goulash recipe, except I run everything through a food processor first. Jar of pasta sauce (I used a Fra Diavola(?sp) this time) 1 can tomato paste 1 thing of mushrooms 1 thing of cauliflower 13 stalks of celery Cumin White pepper Black pepper Hungarian hot paprika 1 whole onion 5 red Thai peppers 1 package of ground meat (I used chicken this time) Beef broth Rice to soak up the extra liquid, and change the consistency from soupy to sloppy-joey And a dollop of garlic to taste no olives this time Bonus techno-fuckery
