  1. I worked today...why did they ever invented that sighh....no I kid Came home, had a coffee and a smoke and was browsing the internet when my boyfriend let me hear his voicemail....The Apogee came in!!!!!! Now I just have to wait till we can ride and pick it up which will be maybe thursday evening and when they're not open then next MONDAY... ARRRRGGHHHH the agony of waiting!!!!!!!!
  2. Nice philosophy, I agree. Congrats on the new job, Reks!! Hope you'll be able to make it a succes
  3. Sorry to hear that, Dan. Hope your wife is doing fine. We had the same thing with our former dog, he bit some familymembers a couple of times (luckily not me) because his former family screwed him up badly. We went into therapy with him just to see if we could fix it but unfortunately not. The mixed feelings when deciding to put him down are heart-breaking but it's a wise decision. I wish you all the best.

  5. Huh, what happened to some of the posts here..? Some are missing like Duggeh's, Edipisreks' and mine..odd.
  6. Funny you say that. I never heard of them before today. I was actually looking for Henckel as that is what I use and like and ran into this. It looks real nice and from what I've read just now it sounds pretty good. I hope he's gonna like it but will have to wait for the answer as his birthday isn't until the 1st of July..
  7. Got up at 9, took a shower well, it's the same procedure as every morning haha. Went to the funeral with my bf which was an hour drive. Afterwards we had a "coffeetable" with 2 old schoolfriends and actually had a great time, digging up old memories. Drove home in time so my boyfriend could finish up at work and in the meantime I bought one part of his birthday gift, a Global Chef Knife. Then did some groceries and just settled down with a nice glass of wine. Hope you feel better already Laxx
  8. Global Chef Knife 10" for my boyfriends birthday:
  9. Over here that's not too bad although wine would've been better value for the money Got up at about 9:30 today. When I was taking a shower my boss called if I wanted a day off (my bf picked up so I could agree) . Nice wake-up call! At 10 the plumber arrived and took a look at our leak in the cellar. Hopefully solved it as well and took a look at certain waterpiping that needs to be extended for my new darkroom yeay! After that some breakfast and we headed off to the "Intratuin" where you can buy stuff for your garden and bought some tarragon to add to our herb-garden and some plants with sweet purple flowers. Did some groceries and back at home we started at the backyard. We cleaned the place with a high pressure water thing (not sure how you say that in English) but that thing is awesome! The floor gets clean and all you get is dirt; wonderful experience haha! Did some weeding and planted the plants. What a difference a day makes Still needs some paint and stuff but it's starting to look like a real garden for the first time: While enjoying the view once finished I got a not so nice phonecall from a friend who I hadn't seen in quite a while, bringing the news that one of our friends from the photography class we followed together had fallen down the stairs and died last night (32 yrs old). On top of that disturbing news it's not quite sure how she fell down the stairs. She had gotten back together with an ex who used to beat her and rumours are that person pushed her. Police are still investigating, but man...that's some sad news with a not so nice touch. But anyways, had some nice dinner with a glass of wine and enjoyed some nice thunder and lightning in the meanwhile. Strange day full of different things. Now back behind my computer wondering what the hell I'm gonna do next
  10. That's a really sweet story! Nice you all had a great time together. Quite an age as well. Hope he has some more years to come in great health with his wife (and family ofcourse). Have a great time Vicky! Big family gatherings...we only have these when someone dies...nothing I feel bad about though, my family kinda sucks for the biggest part, except for the closest ones whom are the most important anyways.
  11. I think I will make some sort of free give-away or something with it when I receive my Apogee. It was pretty cheap, like
  12. And you say that because if I would use one of the cables I mentioned above I would send a monosignal to my amp? So I would need something like this, just not necessarily combined in 1 cable, right?:
  13. Yeah, that cable part is something I just don't get...I really tried to find an answer but your female thingy got me confused for real..this is probably a real dumb question but here it is anyway: You (can) connect the 1/4th to either of these, right? And you recommend this cable..?: But in order to attach it to my amp I will need this..not the female RCA?: Or have I totally lost it now..?
  14. Thanx! Now I just have to be patience....and that's pure agony lol although it's already much sooner than I expected to buy one. Glad the Behringer is two steps closer to the trashcan!
  15. & The latter meant to be attached to the former one as it would keep my hands free and I don't have to carry weight on my bag or shoulder which is a pain for me with the heavy weight I carry around. Will add later this week: something like the Toploader 65 AW for my other camera but have to measure the correct size. It's just SOOOOO BIG and I'm not really massive myself so it looks rather weird lol And on order: the Apogee Duet!!
  16. Yeah BLOODY yeah!!! I ordered the Duet today!!!! It's an early birthday gift (1st of August) from my bf, we split the cost. Have to wait for 2 weeks aprox. but wow that's really awesome! Looking forward to this device after all the nothing but good things I've read about them! The price is also a bargain; there just has been a pricedrop so instead of
  17. ....and all of the Netherlands is covered with tulips, windmills, we all wear those funny wooden "shoes" and in America they all have guns to "defend" themselves, they're all fat and so on...hmmm... No hash for me anymore. A Gauloises does the trick for me these days. I used to have a joint for breakfast and I did it A LOT but I quit smoking that stuff a while ago. I'd rather have a good glass of wine now (well, also not with my morning coffee lol) The Behringer, yeah, my brother was almost calling me names for buying that piece of crap BUT I might have a little surprise coming my way hopefully soon so Yihaa we'll see
  18. Well, tuesday is my regular day off so I got up at about 10, made some coffee, lit a smoke and checked my mail / headfi / headcase. Made a sandwich, jumped on my bike, bought a new phone. Back at home checkin out the goodie Did the laundry, went shopping for groceries, started cutting the fresh herbs, opened up a bottle of wine, started cooking, ate it. Scanned images of which I lost the original files like 5 yrs back during Tha Big Crash and am on Headcase now...still drinking my wine and listening to music on my hps. Ow and the Behringer sucks. Next up...donnow...my bf is watching tv, I hate tv but might join him as I don't feel like doing anything big anyways... Have a great day everyone Ow, and Krmmm, hope you get on top soon Funny, you can write this down in like 2 minutes and it takes a whole day to actually do this lol
  19. My phone broke down sundaynight so here's my new one: The Nokia 6300
  20. Another nice goodie came on my path today... Nikon MB-D200 for my D200
  21. Ow nice! This is a fast thing, really nice. I'm glad I bought it. Now have to buy some nice paper for my invoices... Do you print photos on yours? I don't plan to on mine but how's the qual?
  22. Canon MP520, printing copying scanning for "the office". Pretty nice thingy.
  23. And those 2 things are exactly what I'm after for the next couple of years (the opposite of them I mean by that ), photography-wise talking...so kids are out of the question for now lol
