Here's one: I don't have that many "overall" shots as it's more the details that attrack me, sorry. We first visited West and than took an entire day to see the East-side. It's really incredible to taste the difference between the 2 parts. Makes you feel the pain a little, although you can never imagine what all these people went through (luckily, I guess) but it makes you feel awkward. Makes you aware of the fact that you should never take freedom for granted. Indeed indeed. Thanx. It's a sort of square in front of the Berlinische Galerie. I haven't read the words completely I have to say so don't have an answer to your question really as to what it exactly means. Ow, and we also saw "Cirque du Soleil" which is such an amazing experience to see, Wauw! Their show is just incredible. so tightly preformed and extremely well thought through. Absolutely brilliant.

Thanx everyone Great stories to go along with them... poeh, so many stories. This city is so huge. You walk all day long, in between using metros / S-bahn that is, and there's just too much to see. The difference between west and east is still pretty big. You can easily notice East is the poorer part. It's less tightened, places look messy and it breaths a different sphere. A lot of squathouses there which is pretty cool. Just been to one (well, sort of squatfield), which lies directly behind a certain part of the wall and it looked pretty nice. West is like, the first day we walked there we saw like 10 different porsches , all 911 ones Bentley's whatever you name it.. The first night we sat outside at a bar and I heard this Formula 1 kind of noise heading our way and when I looked a white Lamborghini came sneering by. And again 5 minutes later.. All in all, quite some expensive cars entertaining the road. Lot's of culture of course. Also an exposition of Dali containing some of his sketches and lithos. Lot's of Italian restaurants and so on. The most part walking and walking and when the night falls you feel like a granny, yeah wussy I know Lot's of fun and it was too short so they'll be seeing us again soon Ow, and for a big city this place is so relaxed! Totally different like Paris for example. The people have time for living over there. They are also incredibly friendly as well. People drive pretty gentle although quite spicy. A pretty remarkable experience for a big city-visit. We also watched football outside at a bar when Germany played against Turkey. Pretty cool cause 10 meters further was another bar where the Turks were watching outside so it was an enjoyable watch haha! And when it was done we went to the Kurfursterdamm, big street in Berlin, and all cars were on the street, honking, people screaming from excitement, i.e. lot's of noise - everyone went totally nuts, pretty awesome!

I said I would post some pics so here they are I'm not sure where to put them here so I just made a new thread.. It's all shot on b&w film. The images are so contrasty because of the film I used most of the time, Technical Pan for those interested, and developed in HC110, dillution depending on kind of Tech Pan film I used. The scanner doesn't use dust correction for b&w and I was too lazy to do all the retouching today so you might catch a little dust.

Wow back again since yesterday. Germain autobahn rocks Had a great time. Seen lot's of things and still too little. There's just so much. Berlin is unbelievably huge. Besides Berlin we also got to see Cirque du Soleil and that was absolutely more than awesome! People over there are amazingly friendly and for a big city it was such a relaxing place. So different than Paris where it's more like each to its own. I was really surprised by the tranquilness of everyone. Also saw Germany vs Turkey and that was pretty cool! When Germany won we walked to the big Kurfursterdamm street and there were nothing but cars claxoning all the way, people walking over the streets making lots of noise. Very cool experience. I'll post some pics later on somewhere but I'll have to develop the films first...I shot like 18 b&w films (didn't even touch my digital one) so the developing will cost me several hours. All in all, a great time we had

yeah, I can imagine. And it's not so much the smell of smoke itself but more clothes, bags and the like...urgggg, it's actually pretty disgusting...too bad the draggin is pretty nice especially when having a drink
-
Expensive yeah, like €4,- ($6,14) for a package, but then there are not many brands around here which cost less. They are even thinking of raising the price to something around €4,60 ($7,05) a package Ow well, they make good money from it... I'm thinking about quiting soon though. Mostly because of the smell (health yeah too) but the smell disturbs even me and I smoke like quite often.

Add a little wine to that and the day is perfect again

Worked today, just came back home...had problems with a client who brought in her Samsung camera 2 weeks ago to have it repaired. She lost the usb cable and said I should have it which I don't. Also it turned out to be the usb cable from the mp3-player from her daughter, coz she found out the usb cable from the camera was still at home... She said I send it to Samsung along with the camera..which I didn't. I never send any cables along as they end up losing those things most of the time, unless it's necessary, which it wasn't. And normally when I send such things along I make notes on the form of which one goes to the repair service and one to the client as a prove of leaving behind the camera. It was not filled in on the form of course. But she kept saying I lost it and that it was a clumsy service (WTF...) but I don't have that bloody cable! God I was so pissed! This morning her daughter called me at work to whine about the cable and that her mother didn't had anything to do with losing the cable AAARRGGHHH. I told her I would call Samsung to ask if they ever got a cable with the camera and I'd call her back, which I was gonna do anyways today before she called. 2 minutes after that her mom called that she found her daughter upset at home because of our little chat..jeezusss. I told her the same as I did her daughter. As you can see there's no real way out of this "did - do - didn't - do" issue so I decided to get her a new cable at my own expense. That, she was happy with. BUT to get that cable is a whole different story. I called 3 different numbers and all pointed me to another phonenumber except for the last which sent me through some options, press 1, press 9 that kind of shit and finally if you want to talk to a real person please hold on.....wait...wait...this phone is currently busy, this is the home menu, press 1, press 9 and if you want to talk to a real person please hold..wait...wait...this phone is currently busy, this is the home menu AAAAAARRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH fockin screw you!!!!!!! They are even worse than Sony, no wonder we normally don't do any business with Samsung Got home finally (that story took me almost the entire day) and my bf ordered the cable on Ebay yeay! Sorry for the long rant but I got real cracked up today. Now just chillaz and listen to some music, always a good ending

Gauloises Blondes as always. Have tried many brands but this is a keeper, well, until I quit that is...

Happy fathers day indeed! I sure had a great one despite I'm not a dad (and never will be for that matter )

Wow, it looks great, was really surprised when I logged in. The former layout of HeadCase took me a while to get used to but I liked it in the end as it had some features I liked over Head-Fi. I miss the field on the right where it showed the last posts now. But what a very smooth transition indeed, must have been quite some work.

Really nice camera, Milkpowder!!! That's a non-regret-purchase Yeay, I picked up the Apogee today!!!!!! What a slick and beautiful device. Can't believe I can listen to ALL my music now in high quality playback! I really would like to thank you all for your advice and help with my noob questions, I'm really happy now. I'm not even sure I need a "better" amp....well, I do but I'll be more than satisfied with this setup for now. David Gilmours voice sounds so...in my face now...I like it there so gorgeous!! Thanx again everyone!

And a live album for my dad from the Neil Young tour in The Netherlands 2008 which took place in Amsterdam (of course not the mp3 version as stated in the pic but I can't find any pic of the original cover). The guy at the local cd-shop said it was a rare album and actually illegal for him to sell Did a search and it's a bootleg. From another site: "Click on the highlighted tracks to download the MP3s (these are high quality, stereo MP3s - sample rate of 192 kibit/s). As far as we can ascertain, this recording has never been officially released." Hmm, cool gift for my dad The first disc contains a lot of acoustic tracks, nice!

Congrats Nate!!!
