  1. LspCAD was my second choice. If I don't like SE I will return it and get LSP.
  2. Yeah I hope so. What do you use now? Just placed an order for 15 of these:
  3. Seriously if you need anyone to go to see him in person and the condition of your amp, I have Friday off and would love to see his sweet:rolleyes: operation. Hell if you want tell him I will be there Friday to pick it up and ship it for you. See what kind of reaction that gets.
  4. Yeah it was great that you guys could make it. Hopefully the timing of CJ will work out this year. I might have to remember that one. My friend signed me up for CES and though it would be funny to have me walk around with a Ninja Engineering badge. I can't tell you all the funny looks I got from vendors. Next year I think I am going as a buyer for Wal-Mart. I am pretty sure I got around to hearing those. The only thing I remember about them was that they were clear. Also tried to check out the silly stuff Synergistic Research had, but they had Wilson Watt Puppies as their demo speakers. I would rather shove a pencil in my ear than be subject to listening to Wilson speakers.
  5. I was there when Eric said it. Not sure if he quite knew what he was talking about because he also thought the Benchmark had a better DAC than the EMMLabs CDSA. And the Benchmark was the best amp they tried it with. From my brief listen the Pico toppled the Benchmarks built in amp.
  6. Didn't work out so well...
  7. I am already there. Did this in my spare time last deployment. It came out okay
  8. Ah the carpet. Both me and the wife actually don't like it and have been planning to replace it for a while but never get around to it.
  9. In that case count me in. I have a buffing pad for my air orbital sander what would work quite well me thinks.
  10. Good choice. I love the AXIS mechanism.
  11. R/C Airplanes was the first hobby I ever got into. Strangely enough I think I like building them more than flying them. Yeah I have to many interests. It's a blessing and a curse. Watches? I would be but the ones I really cost $$$. Maybe when I grow up and get a real job. Being left handed a quality pen would be lost on me. And I prefer the ladies in the buff. I think there needs to be a blushing smiley. Just like having projects and learning new things. Except guitar. Me+guitar=fail. Change it to Denver and I will drive. After my 48 hour trip home I don't think I want to sit in one vehicle for an extended time for a while. Plus I removed the big box from the rear is not longer there. Just takes up to much room. Plus I felt like I should have spinners if I was going to have that much sub in my car. Okay the speaker plays! Still not really finished (waiting on mounting plate for the rear speaker terminals) but I thought I would hook them up and see how they sounded. First thing is placement and room acoustics (dugh) make a big difference. So far I found they sound best spread far apart against the wall and toed in just a bit. They definitely handle the top and low ends just fine. Right now my only complaint is they seem to have to much mid range. Hopefully further tweeks on placement and breakin help. If not a notch filter maybe in order or a really warm tube amp. Hmm tube amp. Mmmmmm.....
  12. It's on a different site. 2007 Tahoe install - MP3Car.com

  14. I think tools and audio gear are stuff you can never have enough of. The woofer actually only has a 1mm xmax so it isn't going to be a SPL monster, but it should be sufficient at normal listening levels. The real test will be when I crank up 10,000 days. Yeah shoot me a PM and we will see if we can get in touch. It's a big step up from the Craftsman that replaced it. Installed threaded knife inserts for mounting the speakers and routed out the back side of the speaker cut out. First box done and drying. I need more clamps.
  15. Yeah I am using the stock design. If I like them I can then decide how crazy I want to go on the veneer/hardwood. Here is the driver in it's box. And for size comparison to a Scan 12m 4.5" mid and TC 3000 12" sub. Overall the quality seems okay. Definitely not up to the same quality of some of the better drivers. On a build quality level I have seen better drivers for the same price or less. But I guess it all comes down to how it sounds. And I won't know that till I get them playing music. So back out to the garage for me.
  16. The drivers are here. To bad I have to run some errands. Pictures when I get back.....
  17. Mine is me holding a gun to my turkey hat. I guess they are cool with turkey genocide. Bastards.
  18. Powermatic and Jet are the same company. The Powermatics are nice but just a lot more $$ because they are yellow. If I was going to blow some serious cash on a saw it would be a Sawstop or Laguna. Just get some cheap wood and cut away. Setting up the table is half the fun. Well not really. But it at least it ensures you get a good cut every time.
  19. Yeah I am a little dubious myself, kind of why I wanted to give them a try. From the reviews I read they seem to do a good job but I guess I won't know till I hear them myself.
  20. I just to stay busy;) Holes are cut. Now these almost look like speakers. Just need Mr. Fedex to show up tomorrow with the drivers.
  21. My HT amp (Yamaha DSP-A1) for now. Down the line a Pass F1 clone. And maybe a three channel B22. Dampening installed. Time to break out the router. By the looks of the picture I think I need a V8:D Edit: And yes that is the best "Time Correct" Monster Cable I had laying around.
  22. The first layer is RAAMmat BXT and the second is Ensolite, both of which I had laying around from my car audio install. Since I had them I figured I would give them a try. I still have some Auralex panels to install and fiberglass. Need to make a run up to Guitar center when it opens.
