A good op-ed piece still needs to be based upon facts. Taking a picture and writing a nice story about it is fine for five-year olds but not for adults in a newspaper. Especially when the story is used to make a political statement, which is what it was about, not about the correctness of the diplomacy. I expected the story to be written as it was from Bolton, my real problem is that the Washington Post decided to publish it. True or not, that lends it an air of credibility it does not deserve. Now granted the direction of the story is contrary to my political longitude but if it had been written from the opposite perspective saying it was the best thing since Madeleine Albright, and used only the facts in this story, I would have the same problem with it. Plus there are always (and should be IMO) backdoor talks going on, even with batshit dictators, all the time. Just usually not this public. Lastly, the only way to play a megolomaniac is to make them think they are in charge of what is going on.

On some phones it makes little difference (eg DT880) but on others (K701 and K340) it makes a hell of a difference. I have a hard time listening to the K701 SE on the GSX and I don't even try any more with the K340. The Senn 650 also sound better balanced to me but not as huge a difference as the AKGs. I will be doing some Grado balancing next, so that should be fun.

The O2 mk I is a serious Texas Blues Can if you have a Texas sized amp. But I am also not a fan of the K1K, I have tried it off and on over the years and just didn't care for it. When I want to listen to headphones I want headphones and when I want to listen to speakers I want speakers. The K1K tries to do both and IMO does neither particularly well.

We're actually visiting family-in-laws in Forest Hills. But it wasn't the distance that was the problem, it was the masses of humanity in their great steel beasts.
