Jeff I think Schaeffer Farms is no-hunting and I'm sure Wakefield is. I'd say give Wakefield a try. I'm going to be road riding as much as I can before I get on a plane.
Sorry Jacob that sucks.
Me: Spent a few hours going through all the papers in my cube and packing up all my papers. Now in the process of zipping up the electronic stuff I am taking with me and burning it to a metric crap ton of DVDs. I can't just use the 32gb thumb drive because of restrictions. Yay. Zip process is probably going to take until tomorrow.
Yeah. That's the rub. The clothing order just opened and they changed design and supplier. I have a kid on the way that is almost certainly going to mean no racing this year hence Meaghan asks why I am bothering to buy anything (like $500 worth). I ask how long the design is going to last. I asked this because I am hoping that I can race in it next season and basically get "fuck off. You just bought an $$$ bike". Classy
Decided that most of the people in my cycling club/team are dicks. Seriously considering resigning.
Why the fuck pay to be a member of a club where all you get out of it is judgment.
I bought crank brothers egg beaters because I thought I would be racing cross soon and for cross they are the standard there. For mtb riding I am thinking that they were not a good purchase.
Vicki that would be up to the group but they are some amazing climbs including Paris mountain and Caesar's Head. I think that 3 - 5 hours a day sounds good but I am flexible. We could do 2 rides a day and keep them shorter. A 3 day weekend plus travel time?
May is a no go for me as I am expecting my second kid at the end of month and I don't want to be an 8 hour drive away. That said if your dates etc work best for all involved I am happy to share the routes I rode.
When are you thinking Vicki? I am going to do a couple days riding in San Diego in late February but could be convinced to do a weekend in one of the Carolinas
Jeff, probably no go on a mtb but for a road frame I can lend you my wife's normal sized bike bag.
On a meet: I would be happy to do a road trip but no mtb trip for me until I get whole lot better on a mtb. I just don't enjoy it enough.
Great ride this morning with 2 others. We went into DC and rode around by the monuments which was fun.
The cold and light rain was less fun. I wish more people rode with rain fenders.
Wow I hope that he shows up. Maybe you could find out if he is going from him. I don't see Vanilla or Serotta listed either which is surprising as they always seem to have large booths.
