  1. I just spoke to Ron at Zu and he will have a mini van that will hold 7 total. I think I will cancel the vans and hope there are two people that will be able to drive. Alex, you can drive my car. I can get 4 total in my car. 5 will fit but I don't believe there is a seatbelt for the middle back. I will check at lunch. This means we need two more designated drivers.
  2. Friday is going to be BT and the the Back Room. We will work it out.
  3. I reserved to mini vans for Friday night. The cost was $126 for the day for both vans. I can possibly get a 15 passenger van but it's not as convenient as the mini vans are as it is at a different location. I will have to add two additional drivers which will add a bit more. The vans will hold 7 passengers each so we will still need one or two people to bring cars. If there are 4 or 5 people that are willing to drive Friday night then the vans will not be needed. Ron from Zu offered to drive. He didn't know which vehicle he was bringing but one maybe a Suburban. I will check with him. It looks like we have 18 for Friday night.
  4. Bought a home brew kit and the ingredients for a batch of American Pale Ale.
  5. I picked up a gal. growler of Stone Cali-Belgique, a couple of bottles of Double Bastard, a bottle of Oboviod Oak Aged Oatmeal Stout and Victory Wild Devil. One thing is for certain, there will be no shortage of beer at this meet. Matt, glad you can make it. Doug and Grahame, sorry you guys will not be here.
  6. They do go for more money these days, although I did get a decent deal by todays standards.
  7. My Kenwood KD-650 arrived safe and sound yesterday after two weeks of waiting for that asshole, Dave Schulte (The Upgrade Company). Like Jp's Denon, it looks almost brand new and sounds great. The only downside is I'm not sure I will ever go back to a manual turntable.
  8. Bergen County, North Bergen or Bergenfield, NJ? You may want to figure this out before you venture across the river.
  9. I am picking both of you up Thursday evening. Ari, I got you covered.
  10. You guys are the best. I'm bringing your b'day present.
  11. Great news Frank. Don't forget the Melos.
  12. Happy Birhday Gene!
  13. Here's to hoping you continue to like the Sony better.
  14. Cleaned out the garage. Picked up a 30 pound umbrella base which fell out the bottom of the box sideways onto my big toe from a couple of feet up. It is now the biggest, black and blue toe.
  15. If you are local (defined as Florida), please bring your rigs. Yes that means you Gene. No holding back. We have a lot of people coming and I want to make sure we have plenty of gear. I will lend out my sources (uln 2, and one and hopefully two tt's) to anyone brining amps that need sources. We should have plenty of gear but just want to make sure. Dan, thanks. I know your contribution will be welcomed and enjoyed.
  16. That is only if the opossum is road kill.
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. The damn thing was showing it's teeth to the dogs who were too stupid to know that it can probably do some harm and possibly have rabies. Of course, then I stood there and took pics of it.
  19. I made two 10 pounders with a dry rub recommended by Dan. It was a big hit. I'm not sure we will ever roast a turkey again, which made my mother in law very happy. We went to a friends house today for the Gator v. 'Noles game and he fried a turkey. Despite T'giving two days earlier, I was not sick of turkey, it was so good.
  20. This is from Thursday, that was one heck of a turkey if I do say so myself: This was from a few minutes ago. Needless to say, my dogs went nuts when they saw it:
  21. Picked up a 2 TB external drive from Dell.com for $150 to replace my almost full 1 TB drive. Guzzi, I hope I can hold out 7 more days. I have the order page open in a tab. So far, I've been able to resist. Jim, funny stuff. Dinny, listen to Jim. Stretch, nice cart. I have a $1500 credit with Oz (Let There Be Sound). He is a Shelter dealer and was considering picking up a 7000 or 9000, depending on the deal he gives me, which should be a good one. Al, nice lens. I look forward to the pics of the meet. My wife bought me a Tumi briefcase in the nylon, not leather. Not sure if I am going to move up to the leather. First, it's about $250 more, not a huge problem. Second, one of my law partners has one and hasn't used it for a couple of years as he found it to be heavy, especially with a computer. I have the computer and a handgun, so it would be even more weight. Al, understanding you don't have a gun, what do you think about the weight issue? Thanks.
  22. I am so tempted to order a pair. I am trying to hold out until the meet and try Colin's.
  23. Now that's a notebook. Congrats Vicki!
  24. Happy Birthday Bryan!
  25. He says no but you never know with him.
