I hear you. I think I may hold off on a new body and pickup a Canon 70-200L 2.8 non IS used. Then either a 50D or a 7D down the road. Stax SR-404 LE from Elusive Disc with 10% discount. Hopefully, they will get more in stock.

Yeah but I may have to be a little less ambitious with my camera purchase. I guess I should withdraw my offer on those PS-1's.

It's a great bag and you are right, looks like a bag, not a camera bag. I pulled the trigger on the Keystone. I like the idea of a backpack to carry my gear. It also has room for my macbook which made the decision for me. Not sure if I will need to keep the 6 Mil. I will wait for the Keystone to arrive before deciding. I was wrong a post earlier, the 50D does not do video, which leaves the 7D.

That is one of the reasons I am looking at the 50D and the 7D. I believe they both do HD video. My practical side says 50D but my stupid side usually carries the day.

Congrats! The only thing holding me back from a purchase is my desire for the Canon 7D which is more than I wanted to spend. I think I may pick up a Crumpler Keystone a guy is selling on the Canon Forums. I already have a Crumpler 6 million but wanted a backpack version as well.

I may be the first in line for the Tablet, sight unseen. I also use the iphone Kindle app from time to time to read. However, it doesn't compare to the eInk screen. I don't know what the size or weight of the Tablet but I don't believe it will be as thin and light as the Kindle, which is a big plus. Add to that the great battery life and I see the Kindle surviving the Tablet's release.

I would hate to lose him as a coach but better that he not coach and not lose him permanently.

I have an O7 American. I owned the 6C and the LM-1LE. Mitch, the owner of Ocean7 lives about 20 minutes from me. I have my eye on the ceramic LM-4 which is right up your alley, especially the shadow version.

I think there is one with a dac for sale on HF. I like the amp and considered it when I picked the Rx. The build quality of the TTVJ is a bit better than the Rx, at least in terms of the case. I had to send an Rx back as the jacks became loose. I don't recall how the TTVJ compares sound wise to the Rx but I'm guessing it's not a big difference.
