When you say dish, I assume you mean dishnetwork? I also assume that for on demand, the connection is between each box you want to have on demand and the router? If I'm correct I would have to have a wireless bridge for each box that I want to have on demand.

9 minutes, that's cold but well deserved. Jp, why did you sell this thing? I remember how you and Vicki raved about it and never quite took you guys seriously but it is worthy of all the praise.

The Horizon SE is what first introduced me to the Nottingham line. I would say there is a similarity of sound signature in the line, at least with the SE level, which came with a Nottingham arm, not the Rega on the non SE version. I've never heard the non SE version but I suspect it's not too far off. I also haven't heard anything in between the SE and the Hyperspace. I don't know that the deal on this one is so good that you should jump at it. I would perhaps follow Jp's recommendation as an intermediate step to getting a Space Deck.

The Exemplar 2900 arrived safe and sound. I just fired up and will give it some time for any real comparison but this is some nice redbook playback.

Dogfish Head 60 is one of my favorites. The 75 Dan turned me on to at the Alehouse was excellent as well. The 120 is not one of my favorites. I've been drinking a lot of Stone IPA, Ruination, Arrogant Bastard and Arrogant Bastard Oaked now that it is available locally. All good stuff. I really like the AB. I've also been drinking Sweatwater 420 which is out of GA. This is one that is always available at the Langerado Music Festival. Now if only Bear Republic was available here. The Racer 5 and Hop Head Rye are excellent. I'm a big fan of the Celebrator Double Bock. It's not cheap but worth the price, imo. Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is another favorite.

It looks as though that after an outlay of $600 for 3 extra hd/dvr's I would save roughly $70/mo with directv (after the first 12 months when I would save more than $90). The on demand seems a bit complicated as it requires you to connect to your router. However, if I tell my wife I'm saving on the deal, she might go for it. I always thought that satellite had a better picture than cable. I should check out dishnetwork to see what they are offering these days.

That's not bad. Now if they had On Demand, I'd be in business. I still have my old dirctv and dishnetwork dishes still on the house. I will take a look to see what else has changed.

Is it HD? I had directv and it was around $350 for the box.

Did you buy it or can you get it through directv? When I had it, you had to by the unit and it wasn't cheap. I have 4 tuners.

This is drives me nuts but I've only noticed it when watching HD. The only thing that keeps me from going back to satellite is On Demand and the dual tuner/hd dvrs. The internet speed is faster then BellSouth DSL.

That amp is sweet. It's the one audiophile memory from the first National. All the other memories are of drinking and live music.

the Acoustic Sounds catalog arrived today and they have the impulse releases listed. It says they are coming in '09 and taking pre-orders. So many 45's so little time and money.

I bought a SB Solo for my daughter to access her home dvr and tv. My router is in a different room from the dvr/tv. Slingmedia sells a device for $80. Are there any that anyone recommends that I can buy locally in an Office Depot, etc. Also, does anyone think there will be a problem using it with my Apple Time Capsule which is a wireless router.
