  1. Very nice! I wonder if I can still get Mikhail to use one of those for my new amp? Nah, didn't think so.
  2. You have a point but I can imagine a greater level of participation and I guess that's what I'm trying to avoid.
  3. I knew your response was "tongue-in-cheek" hence my question about using you as a reference. As for his advice, well, I doubt I'd really get much help as you pointed out. Frankly, I don't see why my wife is so intent on some internet business. It's not as if we're hurting for cash and both of us work our backsides off. When would she have the time and with what energy would she deal with the internet business? This whole thing is silly IMO but hey, she's a big girl. As long as I don't get roped into participation, I'm good.
  4. Uh huh. Can I tell him you referred me? Getting any sort of response from him is nothing short of a miracle. Responding to PM/email is not his forte. You know...I might just buy that book but she'll never read it. Instead, she depends on me to read and instruct. I don't think she's ever read a set of instructions in her life. Scary thing is that she's all excited about internet business. Now that I'm aware of her intent, I've put my foot down in that she shares no information or enters into any agreement with ANY company/group until I've given it a green light. She's a good business woman...but I worry about the internet side of things. Just trying to figure out when I'll have time to read that stupid book if I buy it!
  5. Well, the wife came to me this morning and tells me she wants to start an online business. Needless to say I know next to nothing about getting started, whats' involved and most importantly how much money this is gonna cost me to put together for her. Wonder if anyone here has experience with such a thing and can give me any advice?
  6. Just glad they aren't in my chair! The job is tough enough!
  7. I'll confess...this brought me to tears. Now for the video behind those words! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjPrL3n63yg]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjPrL3n63yg
  8. Apologies. Didn't mean to thread crap. Thought you might be a fan of riding and Harleys. My bad.
  9. This was my baby! :( clicky for larger view.
  10. You shoulda stuck by your guns on the Harley. Such a great stress reliever...riding that is. Regardless of your ride, it's a great way to just get away. I sold my 1999 FLSTC which was one of the very last evo's off the line just this past summer. Now that fall is approaching, I'm missing her badly. I'm sure when the leave change and begin to fall, withdrawal will set in and I'll be in mourning as all my friends head out for a weekend ride. Of course, I do have some other toys.....the Kawasaki jetskis will help ease the pain IF it's not too cold to ride 'em! Living on the lake....in the mountains.....with lots of big boy toys! Don't get much better than that! Ditch the mower and get that ride!! Personally, my next one will be a Kendall Johnson custom or a Confederate Hellcat.
  11. I've got it setup and my addys are imported and organized now. So far I'm liking it. Better features than Yahoo and the contact layout is far superior. Not ready to scrap my yahoo account but early returns are quite good. I'll make gmail my default for awhile and have the sites I visit use it. If things continue smoothly, I can see a change. Right now I'm debating which of the google features are worth bothering with and if any are potential problems or security risks. Still I like!
  12. I'd like to try gmail if anyone would issue an invite for me. Anyone?
  13. Uh...that's a link to google mail?
  14. Well, that's one way to save some money for headphone gear! Ouch!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TL2yy6zw4zE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TL2yy6zw4zE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bu-lXZLV00o&mode=related&search=]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bu-lXZLV00o&mode=related&search=
  15. It doubles as a digital camera and you used it to take those pics?
  16. Yep. I love the way he's trimmed the file size down to a really small 1 pixel! Save that bandwidth!
  17. Yes indeed, Justin. How goes it? With these results, can you give an estimate on when the new modules will be ready to go? Another balanced contender!!
  18. Any word on the D01 special?? That's the bad boy I'm after!! Of course, if it's gonna be 2 months on the D02A....<gulp>.
  19. The dock came with it. Seems that if you lose the dock, you're royally screwed since you can't charge without it an you also can't tranfer tunes without it either! Call it a "must have and must keep" piece of equipment. Guess I should have known about the audio out as it's part of the audio/video that you can purchase a cable for and play the movies/tunes on your zvm on your TV or stereo. Haven't purchased that yet as I doubt I'd ever use it. For sure, this is my last HD based player though. From this point on I'm strictly a flash type guy.
  20. Forget a suspension. Get a bike instead. You'll save gas $$ and be in better shape. Besides, you get to spend more time listening to the E500's while riding. Of course, there are those who think riding with IEMs in your ears is stupid and dangerous so..... Yep. It's the ZVM and the dock stays in rather well. Actually, it's very snug and takes a bit of prying to get it out. Wish it and the entire ZVM were black but I guess I can't have everything. Honestly, I didn't realize the dock had a line out until someone mentioned it. I'd been charging with it only as I didn't have an amp and really had no plans to buy one. Guess I wasn't paying attention! Nice in that the players volume is bypassed altogether so I'm assuming that it's a true line out? Don't know for sure but I'm thinking it is. I'm not a big techno expert on such things so perhaps someone else would know if it's a true line out? So far so good. Can't wait to see what the pint can do with the Grados and Senns tonight.
  21. Talk about timing...USPS and FedEx both arrive at exactly the same time with Mr. USPS carrying my new Pint amp and Mr. FedEx carries my E500 and Cardas mini-mini! Fired thing up and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. Most definitely THE most comfortable IEM's I've ever worn. First impressions on the sonics is also very positive. Yummmm!!! If anyone wants more pics of the E500's, let me know. I was at the office and so was the camera!!
