Speaker stands

Featured Replies

Solid Steel hyperspike were nice when I had bookshelves.

I am a big fan of of 3 leg stands.

They are a bitch to fill with sand though.

Thanks and interesting. They pair nicely too.

Music Direct, the only US distributors, has the ominous "call for availability" listed. After talking with them emailed SolidSteel in Italy (stands no longer on their site). They'll be back in production in the near future and the US should get them Decemberish. That didn't sound exactly definitive.  :-[

SolidSteel is a good company, but Italians will be Italians...

I have a pair of isoAcoustic desktop stands.

I like them because I can adjust the height by diy the uprights (copper pipe with black shrink wrap).

I wouldn't swear that they do much to improve the sound of the speakers but they do seem to dampen the amount of bass that radiates from the desktop which is a good thing in my case.

I think if I was using stands, I'd use the foam stand iso (I think it's from Aurelex).

Now that I think about it, once you get your stands, give me a holler. I'll bring over the isoAcoustics and maybe an amp or 2 when I get the time.

Sounds good. All the stands I like are expensive (of course), which when combined with the speakers cost starts to approach KEF R500 prices, which leads to thoughts I didn't want to have.
