January 13, 200818 yr M Audio BX5a x2. Listen to mine every day at work. Mackies can be good, although more expensive than the M Audios. What are those white speakers that Tyll is ga-ga over? He shows his new desktop amp setup with them all the time. They sound damn good.

Amphion Ions, which I quickly found out are a touch expensive for computer speakers. At least for me they were. edit - Mike beat me to it, but didn't provide a link so I chimed in anyway.
January 13, 200818 yr They are not cheap but they sound good. If I was buying a pair of monitors for my office I would pick up a pair of System-Audio SA505 ($599 retail) which can be found from time to time on Audiogon for $300. Neither these or the Amphions are powered speakers. They both require an amp.
January 13, 200818 yr The Philips system that I mentioned way back when appear to be no longer sold by Costco. Alas. And me never having picked up a pair. Alas.
February 5, 200818 yr Guys.. i have no idea what speaker specs mean.. but are these any good for computers? They're not too expensive either.. .. or are they worth it compared to other things like the A5? http://www.behringer.com/B3031A/index.cfm?lang=eng
February 16, 200818 yr Hey Dusty, could you specify which model was it on the CostCo link you posted before?
