Ultrasone HFI-780

Featured Replies

GuyMe, the 780s will definitely give you more bass than the 325s. Whether they're a better headphone is an entirely different matter. You'll either like them or not. The good news is that if you don't, they're still the big-time FOTM on head-fi and you should have no trouble selling them for a minimal loss. Don't forget to burn them in for a least 728.32587 hours.

Better hurry before the FOTM wears off though, as plenty are showing up for sale already.

Sounds like an oxymoron -- how can it be hell if I'm laughing my ass off?

You wouldn't be the one being eternally tormented bu evil butt-monkeys ;D

Received my HFI-780 recabled with APS V3 by Alex.

THESE ARE THE BEST HEADPHONES EVER!!!

Okay, they're still burning in, but I did notice that the boomy bass has been improved 100% and the highs are detailed but not painful to listen to. The jury is still out on the forward midrange.

I just need to wait another 534.34 hours til they're burned in and sound better than a Markl modded D5000!

I already spent more than I wanted to on recabling these. Although the furutech plug would look nice.
