We've been using Canon inkjet printers for quite awhile (had two). Our current one is a TR8500 something or other IIRC. I buy the ink off of Amazon (EZ Ink store there) and it has worked fine. I had used Epson prior to that but got tired of their print heads clogging and bricking the printer. Ink is $25 for a full load for our model (currently on sale for $16).

EDIT: Our is a TR8520. Best Buy has a similar TR8620 now, here.

I'm going to look into the 3rd party cartridges. When we first got it I don't think there were any, but hopefully that has changed by now. :)

Inkjet printing? How very 2005!

I print everything on a 3D printer now. Gay porn on a 3D printer is especially mind altering.

Trying to print the One Piece (Dungeons & Devil Fruits) rules for that D&D game I'm running for my Son's birthday and it crapped out half way through the players handbook.  So I'll probably try to order some of the 3rd party toner... or just sneak print it at work. :D

Haha, It's been a trip Steve! You really need to figure out your own shit when you have little ones to look after. They both look much more like Mom, but they each have half of my brain. I've come to realize that I'm basically a shaman and a hunter trapped in the same body.

Jack/Jackson (my 9yo, soon to be 10) is the shaman. He's super deep and sensitive, always reading or drawing, has spoken like an adult since he was 5 and has most of them wrapped around his finger. Most of the girls in his class and probably a few of the boys have crushes on him and he has absolutely no idea, lol. We're currently reading together while I have my morning coffee. ;)

Westley/West (my 4yo) is most definately the hunter. He's like a force of nature, full of personality, turn your back for a second and he's gone, always climbing the highest thing he can find but rarely gets hurt. Lies compulsively, but is *terrible* at it. Lately has been bringing home school library books without taking them out properly and tells us that his friends are giving them to him. :D

They certainly keep us on our toes.

Last I remember you had recently separated from your wife, and had just met 'Keylime Pie'.

Is Keylime Pie Mommy, or has another dessert stolen your heart?

She sure is, Key-Lime Pie Girl and I have been together since then. Good memory!  Rachel remembers you as well and was part of the push for me reaching out to Renato et al. and coming back here.  Takes good care of me.  :D

We actually got married recently as she wanted her Dad to walk her down the aisle (he has Parkinsons).
