Hi Guys, I want to end up in heaven , not hell >:D, so please tell me which is better. Of course I reserve the right to change my mind, so as not to be narrow minded. O0

The One is always right.

Neither. I suggest a platinum-iridium alloy for all your wiring needs. It's ludicrously expensive so it must be good, plus I don't think anyone uses it for audio cables yet. :)

Either that, or pulverized shakti stone encased in hot glue ;D

I picked Silver because it's the closest to what really is best.

Silver-Gold

not that I am biased in the least ;)

Mmmm, shiny silver wires....

I also rather liked the silver-gold cables I got to try out.

I still like the mercury cables the guy keeps selling on headfi...

mmmmmm mercury.

I really love gold alloy... too bad I am not able to get it anymore... aside from that silver alloy is also a great wire. So I guess I like all and none of the above.

Pure gold is fun too... its quite different sounding. I have a mini cable I made out of it.

Gold by its self is not a very good conductor.

Silver is the best conductor, Copper is approximately 5.4% less conductive than Silver, then Gold clocks in at a whopping 28.31% less conductive than Silver.

Yup. But one isnt always looking for the best conductor... I love me my colored sound :D

Who is going to explain to me why silver cables have a habit of being 'bright'? Is that simply because the gauge is often too high to save money?

The only silver Ide personally ever use is 18-20awg... the rest just sounds to bright and thin as you have said.
