August 23, 200818 yr Listening to my 16 channel amplifier as I write this. Did I get that math right, or do the pentodes count too? If so make that a 20 channel amp. Anyways, it is pretty sad that a $50 cheesy DAC was used to 'upgrade' a squarewave. I have no idea how good/bad the tech in the amp is, but at least he is printing and stuffing his own boards. Makes me wonder about Mikhail a bit. I mean, we've always gotten along and he seems sincere, but is he just a really good salesman who takes advantage of my trusting nature? I've always thought that Ray is a genuinely nice/good person who has a poor technical grasp but tries his hardest and cares about his customers. If even half of what has been said in this thread is true, I can't give the same benefit of doubt to Mikhail.
August 25, 200818 yr Thanks deepak. I've been busy and haven't even had time for my headphone rig. Still managed to visit head-fi a bit as using the HTTPS side allows me to buypass my works 'netnanny' bullshit. Was listening to my rig for the first time in a while this weekend and realized I hadn't been here in quite a while. I know it is off topic, but can we enable the HTTPS side on Headcase? It would allow me to hang out here at work, which would rule.
