He's on a good team. It really helps.

I thought he was running on fumes last season. What a change though!

I've had fun watching the Capitals this season, especially with the suck-ass Redskins being so sucky lately.

It has been a good year to be a caps fan. Every game is something new. It's like the "who did we lose today" lottery each week. When the team is healthy they're awesome, and they still manage to win most days when they're not.

Whats been interesting for me is the way we've been alternating goalies. Its a radical change from what I'm used to seeing when we had Kolzig.

I still have no idea why Caps got rid of Huet? He was awesome last season. He simply didn't want to stay?

He's not a very regular goalie and he's overpaid considering his stats. I liked him he was in Montreal, but I think the Blackhawks got ripped off for signing him at more than 5M$ a year.

Still more consistent than Theodore though. Good to see Johnson is doing well though. He was totally overlooked in last few seasons, too.

speaking of hockey, I got free tickets for canucks game Wednesday night, so I'm pretty excited

I'm still in a bit of shock over the Toronto vs. Pittsburgh game last night. I'm a Toronto fan but fully expected them to get trounced last night, who would have thought it would be the reverse.

Caps just squeaked one out against Tom's Thrashers.

There's been more talk about hockey than everything else in the newspapers here in the last few weeks. K brothers friendship with a drug trafficker, rumors that Price-Higgins-Kostsytin are always partying, Kovalev not playing for two games, Laracque badmouthing the coach, Schneider return in Montreal, Begin traded, etc. etc. Hockey is a big drama in Montreal.

Anyway, can't wait for good playoff games, if we are able to make it that is. Caps vs Habs would make a great first round, two very fast teams.

I'd rather it be the caps/habs for the conference finals.

Agreed, but we'd have to win more than two games in a row for the rest of the season for that to happen.

I have to admit it could be a good year for the Caps, Ovechkin is on fire and the whole team is pretty solid.

This year's caps are amazing against good teams. The problem is they don't do so well against weak to ok teams. When they show up, it's awe inspiring. When they don't, or when they feel like they're safe, it's awful. So many stupid penalties in the philly game the other day. I hope they get a grip on that before the playoffs, or they won't be going very far.
