December 12, 200817 yr Following a discussion in another thread I was wondering if some of you were using the WEB to buy used CDs. One nice example from where I live: Musique du faubourg - Accueil I'm often too busy (read lazy) to go and spend time looking for CDs on location.... Amicalement PS Even GPH could find me a nice Michel Louvain's CD in there...
December 12, 200817 yr Author you can find several hundred thousand used cds at amazon. Dear Amazonian, Thanks for the reply but I was aiming at another target. Just finding out, for the sake of curiosity, if members would post their favorite local website ressource. Bonus even in my cold northern city they will shipp CDs across all borders. My mistake I was not precise enough from the start..... Amicalement
December 12, 200817 yr Amazon's used cds are mostly sold by local stores all over the country. Any given store isn't gonna have much of a selection anymore.

December 12, 200817 yr Get out of your laziness and come to Montreal. Near metro Mont-Royal, there are about 7 used CD shops in a radius of 1 km.
December 12, 200817 yr Author Get out of your laziness and come to Montreal. Near metro Mont-Royal, there are about 7 used CD shops in a radius of 1 km. I dont want to know where stolen goods are resold in Montreal.... I'm looking (was) for info about (remember that part in my initial post?) websites comming from CD shops known by members. December 12, 200817 yr My experience is any record shop worth going to won't have a website worth a damn.
December 12, 200817 yr My experience is any record shop worth going to won't have a website worth a damn. Seconded. Consider the resolution drafted. Now, if Acoustic Sounds was to open a brick n' mortar near me, I might reconsider...

December 13, 200817 yr There are a bunch of Newbury Comics stores up here in the Northeast, they have a pretty good selection of used and new stuff. I like 'em.
December 13, 200817 yr There are a bunch of Newbury Comics stores up here in the Northeast, they have a pretty good selection of used and new stuff. I like 'em. I've had great experience with them on eBay. They know how to ship vinyl correctly. Even had a rare Ryan Adams 45 I snagged.
December 14, 200817 yr I <3 Newbury Comics, they need to expand to the DC area. I wonder how far the closest one is?
December 14, 200817 yr I <3 Newbury Comics, they need to expand to the DC area. I wonder how far the closest one is? I think they have a store in CT, IIRC. I like their used CD section, too - there are enough local shops around here and most of them have fairly large used section. One thing to keep in mind with them is that occasionally, their used price is higher than buying same CD new.
December 17, 200817 yr Isn't Rhode Island closer than CT? newburycomics.com Google maps it. Yes, to google maps something is now a verb.
