  • We sure know how to party!!!

  • Short "hopumentary" about craft beer in the bay area.  Fun to see the City Beer Store, Zeitgeist, Lagunitas and other local beer folks for those who have met them and frequented their establishments.

It is a NIGHTMARE getting YT vids to embed right with the current version of the software.

I'm going to take on the benighted task of attempting to embed two YouTube videos

Some obscurity from the Los Angeles new wave scene. This band, and this song in particular have a bit of a cult following. This live video is a bit more raw than the album version and frankly rocks a bit harder. It also has the benefit of having the lyrics (which are half the fun) superimposed on it. The story (apocryphal or otherwise) is that the chorus was result of two of the band members struggling to have a conversation at a loud party. Also, every hipster ever has NOTHING on this band when it comes to being disaffected and aloof.

This is the video the band produced for the song, directed by Jonathan Demme.  It's fun but I prefer the live TV version.
