    Thanks Greg, I ordered a couple of those adapters for Claire and her new devil phone.
  2. Picked up my Stax rig, that had been sitting in storage for the past year at the in-laws. When we moved from Toronto to Montreal, it was one of the things I had to leave behind... but now that it looks like we are staying in Montreal permanently, so the Stax will see some use

    I'm going to take on the benighted task of attempting to embed two YouTube videos Some obscurity from the Los Angeles new wave scene. This band, and this song in particular have a bit of a cult following. This live video is a bit more raw than the album version and frankly rocks a bit harder. It also has the benefit of having the lyrics (which are half the fun) superimposed on it. The story (apocryphal or otherwise) is that the chorus was result of two of the band members struggling to have a conversation at a loud party. Also, every hipster ever has NOTHING on this band when it comes to being disaffected and aloof. This is the video the band produced for the song, directed by Jonathan Demme. It's fun but I prefer the live TV version.
