  3. That sounds awful, swt61...so sorry. I had a bad food induced event a couple of months ago and I empathize fully! On a lighter note, we did a PCH tour starting outside SF at Half Moon Bay and ending in Santa Barbara before flying out of LAX. Lovely trip and we got lucky with the weather...or is that oxymoronic with CA?!? This was my favorite dish...little neck clams and chorizo...a play on mussels in wine sauce...lovely dish! The chefs at Pebble Beach can burn! HS

  4. Well, that's on me, @TMoney... I grabbed a dodge durango for room for the suitcases and my familiarity with the user layouts. Would have LOVED to have had my dated porsche with me (6M)...I just went through the suspension and it's really singing. The turbos flash at 3k rpm...old school. Kinda entertaining... AWD makes it tough to screw up too much. HS

  5. I'm overdue for a listen too. Perhaps decades since my last listen. I remember a lot of waste of time material and about 1/3 of it was up to the standards of their first album.

  6. Use Your Illusion II by Guns N' Roses (1991) https://album.link/i/1389971138 Example: Put in my queue for the Example tune. Prepping for the future. Anyway I had not listened to the album in a long time, maybe 1992. It is a good, but not great album for me. Some highlights with a handful of forgettable tunes. If it were tightened up to just one Album length I think it would be a lot better. And I skipped the 2.5 hour DELUX version. Regardless I do enjoy when they get into a groove and Slash is on top of his game.

  9. I know there's a bread thread, but this isn't exactly bread. There were like 7 rotting bananas this morning so I made two loaves of banana bread and coffee cake (not pictured).

  19. ^ Big mistake!!! Although I did have a delicious dinner at the MOA compound last night, I believe this taco salad to be the culprit. As it was much spicier than expected. I had a horrible night! Not only once, but twice, with no warning at all, I had two of the worst GIRD events I've ever had. The first one was about 1:00 am, when out of nowhere a river of lava came gushing through my esophagus onto my pillow. After cleaning that up, taking some acid reducers and allowing my esophagus to calm down (about an hour before I could even think about going horizontal again), I tried to go back to sleep, which I did successfully. Successfully until about 3:30 am, when river #2 did the exact same thing. No sleep after that and my throat is still raw. I coughed for two hours. Fast forward to 20 minutes ago when another river decided to take a different path. I barely made it onto the porcelain bomb containment device when an explosion that probably caused another California quake, created a not so coveted Jackson Pollock on the inside of said bomb containment device. And now I can feel a second atmospheric river beginning to stir. All I want to do is sleep, but I'm literally afraid to even try. Sorry about the graphic, too detailed mind paintings that I've gifted you.
