  1. Very nice Stretch. They look to be in great condition. Hopefully the pads are still somewhat firm. Just be sure to keep the cable as twist free as possible. Its probably the only physical weakness on an otherwise bullet proof phone thats marvelously constructed.
  2. Wow, thats thorough. When I had my UE11s, I would just go down to their headquarters and have them adjust them while I waited. They would come back and i'd fit them in my ears. If they didn't fit well, they'd take them back and try again. It was very convenient to tell them right there what the problems were. Now with my ES3X, I sent it in for a refit once. When it came back it wasn't perfect, but luckily didn't cause me anymore pain, so I just stopped right there. I thought that any further adjustments might just screw up the earpieces more than they already were. This is probably the only reason that JH audio would be at a disadvantage compared to UE for me. Good luck with those adjustments, hope they fit you perfectly.
  3. Anyone remember this? LMAO, so queer especially putting the music together with Bob Costas:D, but still the catchiest theme song ever. This was quality NBC. At least for me, I was born in 88'.
  4. TAD Reference One Cool video of them:
  5. Oh my...... I held out on the JH13 but this is just too much. Triple bore and 8 drivers? I can only assume extreme frequency extention, and ungodly separation. Now if Mr. Harvey can make this sound coherent w/all those drivers and keeps with the neutral theme as with the JH13 then I just might buckle and cave into this JH madness.

    Magnepan 1.7

Sort of off topic, but here is a cool video of some MMGs with nice sound quality. Makes me want to listen to a pair of Maggies again, especially the 1.6/1.7.
  7. Very interesting, although the Qualia seemed to have an endless amount of treble, its overall presentation was suprisingly balanced to me. How it pulls off this trick i'm not exactly sure. How did the MKI vs HD800 test measurements come out?
  8. Ah got it now, seems that not being able to plug into a BH was the ultimate killer. But anyways, I figured that it would be the presentation of the soundstage that would do it in for you. I luckily got to compare the Q010 and HD800 on the same setup and the Qualia manages to have spacious headstage with more pinpoint imaging to me. But i'm going to really take time and listen to the HD800 at my next chance(soon most likely)so I can have a firmer grasp on its sound for myself.
  9. Meh, from what Jude says I don't think i'll like it either. I absolutely loved the UE11 when I had it, and its midrange was anything but forward and lush to me. I'll be waiting for more impressions but as Monkey also said, I would rather give my money to JH audio than assface Logitech. Even going in person to the UE HQ sucked. I'm sure stepping into Jerrys office for a pair of customs would be an awesome experience just based on chatting with him at CJ'09.
  10. I didn't know you auditioned the HD800. What was it that annoyed you about it so much as to put it at the bottom of the Senn. family?
  11. Just read Gu Sensei's take on the T1, and its a little contradictory/confusing to me. He says: But then shortly says: Another example: Then proceeds to describe: But as always, major grain of salt taken especially since he seems to have had a relatively short time with them. I don't mean to put him down in any way and appreciate his effort at describing his experience with the T1, but his take just confused me because I couldn't really tell what he wanted to say or not. I'd love to audition these some day, but it doesn't look promising to me given that I don't get musical satisfaction from "musical" presentations. I like neutrality and extreme technical prowess. I generally prefer shoved microdetails and copious amounts of treble(somewhat contradictory myself). The O2 is probably the only phone I could stand, thats so casual and reserved with its rendition. But thats only because i've heard it "woken" up with proper amplification and its the most detailed transducer i've ever heard. I'm not in the market for any new phones anytime soon, but its great when companies come out with new products, especially ones that show no limitations to a companies ability in engineering and innovation. Even if its still just a dynamic.

    Thanks Jim, booked 3rd-6th.

Thanks for looking into the issue Jim. It won't give discounted rates for anything outside of the 4th-6th. If you add a day before or after is does not even give you the HF rate for Fri/Sat, which spikes the price as you are now paying in full for all days. Perhaps this is normal, as i'm not experienced with hotel pricing.

Does the AAA promo rate just require the AAA proof of insurance card?
  15. I thought it was the opposite when it comes to driving. More tension=better control over the drivers when using less power compared to using the same power with a less tensioned driver. Perhaps i'm confusing driving the transducer with controlling the transducer?
  16. After finding and playing with a slinky jr., I realised that it just wasn't as satisfying as the large one. So this:
  17. What differences are there regarding mylar tension besides control over the diaphrams depending on the varying amounts of power?
  18. Wow, your discovery is larger than my entire cd collection. Looks like its time to give that MBL digital setup a spin! Do tell us what treasures, if any you find on your next expedition of the attic.
  19. Nice Steve, can always count on you for the female vocals genre.
  20. Does it have anything to do with cases of PS audio PPP's malfunctioning due to overheat? Or perhaps that moar noise harvesters=moar better?
  21. Spritzer, here are some pics of the brown SRE-725:
