Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought A7II's sensor is the same 24 MP Sony sensor that is in D750? I'm curious you found its battery life decent, as my A7r eats through batteries, even with the "Pre-AF" function turned off. I can improve it by turning off the LCD screen completely, then you can't really preview the images you took, except in the small EVF.

Reviews say Sig 17-70 has pretty poor IQ at the 70 mm end, which then kind of evaporates the extra reach advantage over the sharper Sig 17-50, which also has constant f/2.8 aperture.

The show thread at the other site has incredibly poor SNR, but I did catch multiple people mention HE1000 sounding meh. There's also some confusing claims there was a good pair and a bad pair of HE1000, etc. Wish I could have attened the show myself, especially to hear Frank's DHT amp with SR009..

What are people's feelings regarding Aristaeus for SR009 relative to BHSE or KGST?
