Mike, as much as I am afraid of going Campy as I've heard it has a longer lever reach (and non-adjustable) than Shimano/SRAM, I keep on coming back to it. It's prevented me from going SRAM Red a few times. Something about that Italian sexy flair just gets me all the time. As someone who likes riding the drops (and shifting from there) and has small hands, not sure if Campy is the way to go. Any thoughts, gang? BTW, also excited to ride my lumpy route tomorrow. Unlike most you guys, I'm gonna take my time, sleep in, make coffee and breakfast and then go ride angry. I hate waking up early just to save 5-10 degrees. If I end up riding at high noon, so be it. I guess I don't mind as my people are people of the sun

Likewise Mike, you have no idea how judgmental I can be. I sometimes judge you guys a douchebags but ones close to my heart. Beats being a garden variety douchebag IMO.

Chris, you don't count since you have an actual, legit hurt locker. Plus, we only judge strangers, not friends.

Actually douchebag cycling announcers. I've heard that term many times watching bike races on TV. There's many more stupid terms but that's the one that comes to mind right now.

Yes, it's one of those annoying words. The most annoying one is "chillax". Who the fuck uses that word?

I know what you mean, Nate. The more I ride I find that not only could I dig deeper but I could sustain those deep efforts for longer periods of time. In douchebag cyclist terms, I think I'm expanding my "hurt locker" Doesn't matter Mike, you're a lifetime endurance athlete which give you a definite edge over us.

Nate, can you please let me know where you bought you Porta-Peloton? Seriously though, you are one strong rider. I can only dream of getting close to 20mph one day.......

Finally broke my 15 mile PR which I've been trying to topple for 2 weeks. I hope I'm wrong but looks like this will stay on top for a while. It was in very hot and humid conditions with a headwind on the way back so overall I'm pleased

I should be careful what I wish for but I wish I had more hills and descents around here. I find that if you bomb down a descent with the same effort you did on the climb, it's very very possible to gain time

Patriots sign Tim Tebow
Belichick has a history of successfully polishing turds so that might be it. However, I don't think Tebow is polishable. Nice guy, absolutely - NFL QB, not so much. Sorry to be blunt but we all know the truth.

Did testosterone rides Friday and Yesterday. Friday I tied my PR local 15 miler at 18.4 which was really great as I was only at 17.9 after the easier half. Yesterday I drove out to my "hill" ride and did 26 at 17.7. Did some hard long efforts on the back half which made me really happy. I think I am finally back on the upswing after strep put a beating on my form early May. My HR seems to be slightly lower nowadays and I am able to hold a higher peak HR for max efforts.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Get better soon, CJ.- And now what did you do TODAY?

21.5 mph, that's pretty quick. I can only dream of pulling that off in my lifetime. Two days ago was my first year cycling anniversary. Logged around 2,900+ miles. Hopefully this year I can match or beat that mileage. What really surprised my is one of the things I love about cycling is the suffering. Don't get me wrong, certain days I bitch and whine about everything that's giving me a hard time but there are many times where I'm trying to ride hard and I'm at my limit: my heart's pumping like it's gonna jump out of your chest, my legs are screaming and I'm sweating like I'm in the immigration line and you know what, I like that shit most times- Happy Birthday Mrarroyo!
