Well, looks like I was outbid for the QB9 on the 'gon. As sworn yesterday in online chat, I'm not gonna pay more for it. I'll just bid my time and weigh other options.

Dusty, I have a watch winder, but it was a gift. It winds four watches and stores four more. It's kinda big too, but it looks decent. The gift was an ebay purchase, so I'll look on ebay later to see if I find it and let you know which one it is. By the way, my watch brands are: automatic watches: 3 Stuhrlings, 1 Orient quartz: 1 Fossil, 1 citizen (the solar-powered one) I dont think it is necessay to have a winder, but it sure was a bit of anuisance to have to reset the time whenever I switched watches (I wouldn't wear one or the other for a week at a time before, and they'd stop).

I am like Dan in that regard as well: I have four automatics all under $200, just because I like automatics. I also have one quartz. Oh, and one solar-powered (Citizen's Eco-Drive). All under $200. Hell, under $150 for most. But no more watches for me unless they are gifts. I bought the ones I have because I like the way they look, really, not so much for function and accuracy.

Also, I forgot to add that Brent came out rather well in that last frame of dugge's lil comic. Very photogenic.

Vicky thanks for the input, but I made up my mind before you posted. I'm getting them because I just purchased something else that's portable... shhh!

I recently started using my portable rig again and, well, I find myself not needing portable so much as I thought, so I take back what I said. It's still a toss-up for me.

The system in the 1st picture looks warm and musical, whereas the system in the 2nd picture looks more digital and analytical.

The new campaign is shorter than the others as well. Overall, it feels more like a fan-based one than straight from the team.

I'm such a sucker for redheads... sigh! On a side note, I was waiting for the Orlando meet date at the other place to be settled so I could listen to some other gear and swing by to get my impressions done, but they picked the one weekend I can't go (Oct 17, next weekend, which is the date for the breast cancer Run For the Cure event, and my workplace expects me to be there Sat. morning at 7am). I'll be running to save boobs! Anyhow, now that the meet is out for me, I'll have to go up to Orlando myself, probably the 1st week of Novemer, as I have that week off. I'm definitely getting them. I think I will go for translucent orange, no logo. Had technology been up to par, I'd have loved my avatar (a simpler version of it at least) on there!
