  1. ^ I think that’s from last year, right? Well, the web seems mixed on the two years, though I bought the LPs back in Covid days. Or could there be two or an abridged release with the same title?
  2. Damn, put a sticker over that red dot, write “Pixii” and sell for $3k
  3. I'd be curious your response if you ever have interest. According to Wiki (also referencing this) it seems some criticized the character as being only "heterosexual, but gay", or I guess more bluntly, not gay enough (he sings show tunes, but "unrealistically" likes football and beer too). Maybe it was too early for either audiences or critics or at least when some were understandably concerned with utility of representation, but criticism seems more than a little strange 20+ years later. And only seven of the twelve episodes ever aired. Wasn't given much of a chance. Still can't believe I've never heard a reference to this show.
  4. Hey, if we’re going through unsuccessful TV shows, any thoughts, or even remember, Normal, Ohio? John Goodman’s gay character moves from California back home to Ohio and Roseanne-style family hijinks (augmented with laugh-track) commence. Never heard of it, but been watching available episodes on YT (sadly not HD).
  5. Just in case anyone thinks the stewardess treatment was an exaggeration... Eastern, another long gone airline... https://www.instagram.com/reel/CukU2cBs2_2/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng== (sorry, don't see it elsewhere)
  6. Maybe get your own White House? https://abc7news.com/western-white-house-hillsborough-california-home-oval-office/13438168/
  7. I don’t believe I have two copies of anything on vinyl. I have three copies of Rumours.
  8. Hope it's a great one!
  9. The post storm continues… Usually go with a different cut, but got a New York Strip at Campfire in Arcata and it was so on the money. Mel went with halibut and Esmé chicken. Finished with a ridiculous s'mores chocolate cheesecake.
  10. Wait, that’s neither a funnel cake or an elephant ear.
  11. RIP Alan Arkin https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/alan-arkin-dead-little-miss-sunshine-1235526918/amp/
  12. Didn’t we just do this like a year ago?
  13. The Bear season two. Episode six, Fishes, is a crazy, guest star filled, holiday flashback. Add this to your annual holiday watch. Guess this actress. All your guesses all at once. Damn, I could have made a Wanda joke. Edit: Here’s a great opinion piece - https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/24/opinion/the-bear-fx-grief.html

SR60s still put you inside the instruments?
  16. I'm curious about the hierarchy. I don't pretend to know how these bands have aged in culture, but X really level four? Soft Cell above The Furs, OMD, and Violent Femmes? Tears for Fears above B-52s and Devo? Or are the lines themed?
  17. I'm not saying I'd ever pay that amount for any combination of living artists, but it doesn't seem crazy to me compared to a Rolling Stone show or Taylor Swift next month in a football stadium...
  18. If anyone is of the era, looks like a big show in November. https://www.darkerwavesfest.com
  19. I’m neither good at landscape or square format, but when you lug the nearly five pound Zeiss 50mm Distagon, Hassy 500cm, 42307 45 Prism, and CFV II 50c back (forgot the monopod) into a park last weekend, you try. Here are my best Bon Iver album covers.
