One caveat, using a Rita Hosking HDCD ripped lossless to test using the UCA202 on Macbook v. iPad, we may not have bit perfection through the camera kit. The volume locks (and I had EQ, etc. off), and I don't hear any audible issues, but take it into consideration. Might have better luck with a different adapter. Still though it sounds great. EDIT: And that's "U-Control" above.

Just realized I have a Behringer U-Conrol UCA202 adapter. iPad to Camera kit to UCA202 to Parasound d/ac 1500. BINGO! Will do more listening tonight, but we have optical!

Anyone try, or hear about anyone successfully using an USB to optical adapter with the camera kit? This is encouraging/discouraging...

Yeah, in fact ordered another for second iPad. I posted a few comments after the original, but although not as tight at the Belkin (which is really, really tight), it's not loose and the openings are accurate and in fact a bit larger than the Belkins tiny headphone and dock openings. There are times I wish I had the incline of the Apple case, but I can't imagine going back to using the iPad without the added grip of the TPU. Like I said - big fan and the price is right.

Just ordered a wifi 32GB model. Going to be a two iPad home.
