There's one mounted in the other orientation as well. It was built by Jesse James.
  2. Good thoughts and juju your way.
  3. This may be one of the "Universal Truths." What I hate is how your hands hurt from heaving so much shit around. So the great reward for the move is to sit on the sofa with your palms throbbing looking at all the boxes of shit without knowing where it's all gonna go. Have a nice day, Stephan. Sorry. It'll all be over ... at some point.
  4. BTW, I do like the T1s ... I think.
  5. I thought the D7000 bass was flabby sounding compared to the D5000 to me. 5000 measures pretty damned good. I did think the J$ pads did quite a bit for the imaging, as claimed broadly. In the end though, the juice just isn't in the right places. Also all the Denons actually SUCK for isolation ... they're sealed in name only and actually amplify (though resonance of some sort) outside noise between 150Hz and 600Hz!! Notice how the isolation curve is above zero:
  6. Actooly, I liked the D5000 better. And I'm moderately okay with the CD3000 ... for a Sony. Matt Engstrom at Shure said I should try the 840 with the 440 pads. I haven't done it, but I did think the 840 was a bit bass heavy and preferred the 440 somewhat ... a good cheap sealed. Sealed headphones are just a problem. Good luck Dinny!
  7. Gaerne Balance Oiled Trials motorcycle boot. Brand new AND old school simultaniously!! Comfy, comfy, comfy!
  8. Laxx, keep-in' regulaaar!
  9. I'm to old and set in my ways, but if I were young again I'd love to do a stint living in the Big Apple. Greatest city in the world (though the Montana boy in me chuckles at that a bit), have a great time there Colin.
  10. I've got a set of chassis punches out in the garage, they just haven't moved into the lab yet. And there's a Dremel you can't see. Back in the day, I didn't even think about it, but after having to buy lots of solutions for HeadRoom I thought I should go for something. I put a stick of incense near it and it sucked like crazy ... from about 9" away it was like a beam of suckage. I'll do a little video of it sometime soon, it seemed to work good.
  11. Woohoo! There's one that makes my dick tingle! Not that Vikki's plight didn't get my attention. (Treading on thin ice here.) Now I'm gonna piss off Nate: I set up my new DIY work bench today. All my personal electronics tool dissolved into HeadRoom years ago, so I had to buy a brand new set. It's like Christmas in spring!
  12. I got the diffuse field EQ numbers into the Audio Precision so I can do background subtractions for headphone FR curves on the fly. Now I'm gonna sit on the sofa and watch a dumb teenage girl movie with April ... ... fortunately I'll be drinking heartily out of a plastic Halloween cup.

Quintupulo for me. In Thursday noonish, out Sunday afternoon.
  14. Nice! Just setting up my purchase from Stanley Supply. Thanks for the info!
  15. It's always the last place you look. Are those the health issue you'll be studying? Need any volunteers?
  16. Ugh. After doing dozens of trade shows and riding a motorcycle I've developed a penchant for triple and quadruple checking everything. Or maybe I'm just paranoid ... still, measure six times, cut once. Speaking of measurements, got through a full set of measurements today, and started a shopping list on Stanley Supplies of tools and stuff for DIYing. Thanks for all the good advice out there on the boards, Nate.

Just thought you guys would like this similar "WTF Picture Thread."
  18. Gas is only about $2.50/gallon. Oh yeah, Montana rules don't apply, do they?
  19. Posted like a mother fucker over there.
  20. System Two Cascade with all the digital stuff.
  21. Signed up for medical insurance this am as a free agent .... free? HA! The only illness I'll be able to afford is a catastrophic one. Guess I better loose weight ... saw a thread about that somewhere around here ..... This afternoon was spent going over all the programming for the Audio Precision tester .... ... fortunately aspirin is cheap, 'cuz my head hurts.
  22. Keep your head on a swivel, man. And thanks!
  23. No. Absolutely not. Started the paperwork for starting a non-profit and filing for tax free status .... I hate paperwork.
  24. How come nobody is congratulating Steve? Nice job, mang! (Srsly, no pix needed, I'll take your word, m'kay.)
  25. Had lunch with Todd ... you know, the Vinyl Junkie. Burgers at the cafe at the stockyards are the real thing.
