From what I read today, the external design of their headphone isn't finished. (But they have a working prototype.) How much will you pay for yours?

A Mac CD shredder? My daugther shreds all my CDs so I wouldn't have much use for it. But it looks cool, with that big waste basket to collect the pieces.

The sound of email going out from my computer is rendered very realistically through the LCD-2. It is a truly superp wooosh sound that emerges. It makes sending email a pleasure.

It might be too early anyway to make any conclusions about LCD-2 vs the O2. The LCD-2 is still only a few weeks old. Who knows what monster amplifiers crazy people might build for the LCD-2 a bit later in the game?

My Internet has HUGE tubes. It gets stuck as well on some big attachment and prentends forever to download it. But actually, it hanged already after 7 seconds says the hangman report. I'm thinking maybe I need a better power cord or maybe gold plated contacts for the Internet cable. Or maybe the Apple Mail App just plain sucks.

I have to make sure I never listen to a good O2 rig.

I'm listening to a piano concert through the LCD-2. It's like I'm inside the piano. Extremely enjoyable. I think it's actually as good as I've been saying all along.

I lost interest in the DT48 after encountering this free-field measurement of the DT48 vs Stax Lambda. (A measurement where you first hear a sound from a speaker, and then adjust the sound in your headphones to what you think is the same level.) It looked like it went between 110-112 db from 20hz to 2khz. Not flat enough?

The measurements that Beyer ships with the DT48 shows a reasonably flat FR curve at 110db. I don't think I want to hear any can that loud though. But if it's that good at reasonable levels, the cult of the DT48 might be onto something.
