  1. Yeah, the rain has been ridiculous. Though, as I wrote elsewhere, I got off easy with just a flooding basement (ongoing as I can still see the damn water seeping through on the corner where the wall meets the floor).
  2. Took the day off to continue the battle with the flooding. As annoying as the flooding has been, we got off relatively easy compared some folks in the region.
  3. Do I see a VHS player in there?
  4. Spare battery for my camera and groceries for the week.
  5. No kidding. At least we'll be getting a new roof this year to preempt anything horrible happening to/with it. I probably shouldn't even be talking about it.
  6. In keeping with the theme of "when it rains it pours," just confirmed my wife's iPod is dying and can no longer add any songs to it as it won't get recognized by any of our computers. At least it's still playing music for now.
  7. Couple of water pumps and garden hoses.
  8. Have a great one!
  9. At least right now, the pumps are keeping up with the rate of incoming water. It doesn't help that just beyond our property line are state and private forest with multiple wetlands.
  10. Woke up 2 hours ago and promptly found ~2-3 inches of water already in basement. We've got couple of pumps going and we need to go get more.
  11. x2! As for my kitchen, it appears there are no damage aside from the kitchen as the leak seems to be coming just from the section of the pipe that are exposed right below the kitchen ceiling. Of course, won't know for certain until the ceiling around it is cut open, which would be needed to repair/replace the pipe anyways.
  12. Just found out the vent pipe in the kitchen ceiling has been very slowly leaking, damaging one of the new cabinets that were installed only couple of months ago. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
  13. As far as I know, the pre/pro hasn't come out and I couldn't find any info regarding it on Sony's website. As for what else has 5400's DAC section, no clue.
  14. Just came back from a 7-hour childbirth class at a local hospital. It wasn't as informative/helpful as we had hoped. At least we got to tour the maternity ward and whatnot again.
  15. The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out
  16. Paid for Pico Slim pre-order. I'm not in the first 250, but I figured I'd just pay for it while I remember since I don't frequent the HF that often anymore.
  17. Which is why he needs a secret entrance to his workshop.
  18. The Velvet Underground - Loaded
  19. Tried to review couple of documents that were due to me at 9am yesterday, only to find they're not complete. It's my fault for not getting around to checking them yesterday, but it's still aggravating.
  20. Feist - The Reminder
  21. Damn, I wish I was having a corned beef with beer. Instead, I'm eating one of those awful microwave mac and cheese. Argh.
  22. Just checked on Touch and it does indeed work.
  23. ThinkGeek :: Pogo iPhone Stylus Then you could always use a sausage.
  24. Magnolia: Music from the motion picture
  25. I don't think it will ever do flash as Apple is going the way of HTML5.
