I know that the Blum undermount slides are the hip thing these days. They do make a quality product, and there are certainly situations where they are preferable. But looking at the design of your current build, I'd think that side mounted KV drawer guides would work perfectly well. With the added bonus of being cheaper and much easier to install. That's just my two cents.

Took a few pics today, to better understand the project. The extra space in the dado underneath is where the LED light strips will be mounted. This is one of three decks receiving the same treatment.

My table saw will not accept a set of dado blades, so these were milled one saw blade width at a time. I had about 80 linear feet of lumber to mill this way. Then cleaned up with a chisel. I'll take photos after installing them tomorrow.

Actually this was yesterday. One of the bosses is remodeling his bathroom as a surprise, while his wife is in Ireland with the kids. He hated his vanity, and just wanted some simple shelves, which I milled and glued up from rough cut Redwood. Not shown is the second shelf which sits on the concrete slab, and buts against the existing floor tile, which is staying. This will receive 3 coats of a Marine spar varnish. Today's project is outdoor railing caps for three decks on a project that's just about done. These will set atop 2" wide metal railings. The grooves I milled to 2 3/4" wide, to also accommodate LED light strips that will shine down on the deck.

So, you haven't been here long enough to meet Brent? -
He never wrote a sub standard song that I'm aware of.

Works like a charm! And I really like the way this 90 degree square guide tightens into the groove of the track, instead of clamping onto it.

I doubt her kids have a chance of becoming honest, compassionate people, but as hard as it would be for me to be nice, you did the right thing.

This video would be better if Natasha were also involved. And maybe moose and squirrel.

That just seems too easy. George Santos says he has the ability to alter the tree's DNA to grow it's own inlay.

I'm not sure what's more shocking... The fact that you saw Sarah Huckaby Sanders? That you were able to keep from tripping her to fall on her face (pretty sure she's done that numerous times)? Or the fact that you were in a Target store?

Story of my life. I had to cut the end of a long piece of baseboard, and didn't want to drag out my mitersaw. I normally don't attach the extended fence.

I know it's weird, but Rachel Weisz played such a despicable character in 2003's The Shape of Things, that I can't help but dislike her in everything she's in.

I saw the post with the video of her, and made the assumption before watching said video. We all know what happens when one chooses to ass-u-me.

Thank goodness! Being old, albeit for only two hours, really sucked!

R.I.P. Joni Mitchell. I feel a part of my youth torn away.

Gordon Lightfoot was one of the great singer songwriters. Kristofferson, Chapin, Lightfoot... R.I.P. Gordon.

Well Sir, bacon is indeed fractional hog. And this place is aptly named. The bacon is delicious. They have Millionairs bacon as well, but didn't try it this time.

Were fractional muffins involved?
