I have L3000 pads on my Chocolate Donuts, and I love 'em. They're uber comfy, and place your ear right next to the driver (very important with Orthos). Glad to hear they're coming around Mike.

I doubt many have heard the Yamato, but I will say that these are every bit as hard to drive as the K340.

Hey Mike, glad to see you back! Why would you ever change anything on that gorgeous Sota? I still have my K340, but my rig has improved drastically, and even I can't believe it but I now own some Sennheisers. HD 580s w/600 grills and balanced cables. Oh, every since you bought your Sota, and commented on the vinyl sound I've been keeping my eyes open. About a month ago I bought a Mitsubishi LT-30. I used to own one in the 80's, and I'm in the process of sprucing this one up with a new wooden plinth and other goodies. Thanks for bringing me back to vinyl.

I can't see age having much of an effect on the drivers. I mean they're aluminum diaphragms sandwiched by magnets, nothing too delicate here.

It seems like it took about a week and a half for mine. Their software is pretty easy, just play around for a bit until you figure it out.
