Ah...for all the slowness that my 3G represents, I can honestly say I have never had a drop call and my reception and call quality has been excellent. Just weird that a cell phone can be piss poor as a phone but be the bestes in everything else.

So is the general consensus that the new iPhone has a beautiful display, is a very nice looking multimedia device, but very poor as a cellphone?

Speaking of tethering...on os 4, under settings>network there is an option to set up Internet tethering, but refers you to customer service to enable it.

Manzox! Happy birthday

Jh13's shipped today!

Nate, I feel your frustration. On my 3G the only thing that appears faster is the menu screen and clicking on the phone icon for calls, or double clicking the home button which goes to my favorites. It takes 5 seconds to open up messages. I deleted all my texts and old conversations, no help. Safari...yeah... However I am not going to risk going back to the previous OS due to your issues, not worth it to me. Hopefully AT&T will let me use my wife's upgrade date in november, which some sales people have said they can do.

Salary = $500 / hour Due to the extreme complexity of the products the building process is as advanced as building a micro processor by hand, but that's not all, most of the building must be done by ear to get perfect neutrality, this is done by listening to the device multiple times during the building process. The salary equals the one of a specialist audio surgeon which is $1,500,000 annually. This is $500 per hour. Product Building time Cost GroundHanger <3 4 hours $2,000.00 HutLink 36 hours $18,000.00 Grounder 200 48 hours $24,000.00 CocoPower One 56 hours $28,000.00 HutClamp 60 hours $30,000.00 IsoNatu 11 108 hours $54,000.00

Same response when people bitched about the iPad wifi issues. Even before taking accountability they claimed it was a router issue specifically dual band routers and needing to make them different ssid names. Then they said you had to do wacky shit like change your brightness settings. Finally they admitted to it and hopefully will be addressed for those that have issues in the next update. When I went to the store, the guy said it was my routers fault, not even bothering to look at it. I said I tried it with 3 different routers, one including an airport. The guys starts messing around with it for 5 seconds and determines it works perfectly fine. I ask to speak to a manager and finally they submit and gives me my replacement. This was all within my 15 day return period anyways. What struck me was the somewhat smug demeanor of the guy and the pervading attitude that nothing could be possibly wrong with an apple product.

Very similar to the wifi issues on some ipads, which unfortunately I was a victim of.

B&h is offering a nice package with the 18-55 lens and the 55-200 lens for $500, includes a $150 instant rebate. I hope I am reading that right as it seems too good to be true. Nikon - D3000 SLR Digital Camera with 18-55mm VR & 55-200mm EDIT. 750-150= 600. Me learn math. Nate, will definitely stop by my local best buy as well.

Jeebus your connection is faster than most Internet providers in my area and you probably best most 2nd and 3rd world countries.

The tpu case from pcimicrostore was definiitely my #2 choice.
-
Next time I am at the local apple store if there are any cases I can pick one up if needed.
-
I've been happy wit the apple case. Very slim, nice grip, simple, and the stand is rally nice.

Yeah cause the 3GS actually has the processing power to open a camera and messages within a second. My 3G was slow as molasses before and it appears to be a little above molasses right now. I won't even bother jail breaking the darn thing because I could not imagine actually multitasking on the 3G, it is just too darn slow

iTunes is pissing me off. My iPhone is currently synced to the iTunes library of a laptop we plan on trashing. Well just activate home sharing you say and transfer your iPhone apps to the iTunes library of our current laptop. Well the bonjour service on the old laptop is deactivated and iTunes won't let me do home sharing. Oh okay so just go to contol panel admin services and reactivate bonjour. No go, error message won't allow it, and I've already opened up the ports in firewall to allow it to go through and it is showing their are no exceptions for bonjour. Crappy

Yes. Easily. Oh, found a nice cool little thing with OS4. I noticed that it added notes folders to my email accounts. Well when I wrote a note in the notes app, it automatically updates to the notes folder of your primary default email account. Pretty cool
