Jp I think I am with dusty on this, but you posting those vendors implies that you feel our issue is with vendors not being represented, which you can clearly see why a vendor would be left out. The issue is the apparent lack of respect for headphone audio from a coverage standpoint, and for the, to clump all headphone audio as Ray Smuels is sort of condescending. If headphone audio was important to them they would take the time for another paragraph or two with maybe another picture or two. I don't think dusty wanted or expected some lavish spread but merely a show of respect from a media standpoint that headphone audio is legitimate.

Yes. (...not Really anything I can add, sums it up right there...)

I would still take that stereophile coverage over the 6moons shill I mean meet impressions of canjam.
  4. Sorry for crappy pic, but in real life the lines and edges are smooth, the older version was somewhat jaggedy.
  5. The flying girl on mine looks good, or much better than the first versions, but I am a relatively recent jh13 owner well past when they upgraded their equipment.
  6. The 3a/16 demo at can jam, while not perfect, was pretty jaw dropping in two areas: 1) transient impact and bass punch. 2) actual soundstage with focus and crazy imaging The bass hit your chest like a jackhammer, and overall the sound was really impactful. It reminded me of a nice k1000 setup in that regard. To hear soundstaging from an IEM where it was layered in front and around you, with incredibly precise focus and clarity, was pretty remarkable. There might have been some weird midrange funkiness, and I am not quite sure whether they have all their DSP stuff all figured out, but I think there is good Eason to believe it will be a quality product.
  7. Vicki, I remember you talked about using your MacBook as a source (optical with spdif adapter). Should sound great.
  8. Where?
  9. Gracias.
  10. Ok last question I swear. There are conflicting reports, the absolute sound review says the USB drive has to have its own power supply as the touh can power them, but everywhere else it says it should be ok. Can anyone confirm/deny?
  11. Ok. I think i have finally found what I have been looking for to get into a wireless based source. Woot. Edit: I will have to read more about it, but I fear that the touch could actually lag and skip when hooked up to an external. One review on amazon mentioned that it may not work smoothly with external hard drive usage.
  12. Ok, let me see if I have this right. The touch can operate without using a computer, you can hook up an external USB hard drive to it, and I can use my iPad to control it?
  13. USB input, all those different inputs. Digital volume control for line stage option. Fully balanced design. $299 WTF. It's worth it just for the functionality.
  14. Sorry HPA I do not hear what you are hearing. The jh13s are probably the most pure and accurate things ive heard through the midrange especially regarding tone. The tone in the voice and guitar is perfect to my ears and I am very happy with the bass reproduction (the 16's sounded too bassy to me but the 13's are right near the middle balance for bass output).
  15. Needed to update iTunes to the newest 10.01 version, works great now.
  16. For some reason I cannot get remote on iPad to find my iTunes library. Home sharing is turned on but it won't connect.
  17. Sorry for the belated wishes. Hope you had a good one.
  18. Yes it is the bores I was referring to and it was essentially what jh did to my left one, just add another lair of acrylic to the bores. I know nail polish might have accomplished the same thing but I figured it was still under 30 days so just send it to them.
  19. Just wanted to add that my 2nd refit is pretty much perfect, it came in weeks before the baby but am now starting to get some time in as Molly naps. I think what is occurring is that JH makes the bores slightly smaller than the actual impression to accommodate the hard acrylic not having much give, and making them easier to insert and having less fit issues. However, if it's too small you get a loose fit and squelching when you open your mouth as well as other minor issues. Sensaphonics and westone are actually able to make their bores thicker than the impressions because they are a softer material that is able to provide some give and accommodate your inner ear much better for a tighter more sealed fit. Regardless I am extremely happy with the customer service and quality of sound, especially straight from iPod/pad/phone.
  20. I already had the iPhone version and went ahead and got the HD iPad as well. Yes, it was worth it.
  21. Even though AT&T are freaking punks I have to give them credit for investing in their 3G bandwidth and their 3G coverage in major metropolitan areas is probably the best of all the carriers. I know for Chicagoland AT&T has the best 3G service so I am ok wi them for now. I think verizon has a long way to go to match their quality, at least it appears for major cities. I would say just stick with AT&T and get an iPhone4 under contract.

    In.
  23. Sorry to beat a dead horse Shelly but the extreme solved all my link sys range and dropping issues and then some. It really is fantastic as a wireless router and am ok with its decent hard drive sharing performance.
  24. Actually thank you dusty for not making feel totally like a tool, and for not making me feel too bad about overly trusting the iphone OS spell correction.
  25. Sorry...freaking iPhone. I missed the A and K
