  1. I've heard many nos dacs with the TDA chips and have hated pretty much all of them.
  2. Has anyone heard the PS Audio digital link III dac? I typically despise PS Audio as a company, but it's one of the few under 1k dacs I haven't heard.
  3. Good point, not that cheap but then again I don't want to spend too much more than 1k.
  4. I've already sent a few e-mails about this and not surprisingly they've gone unanswered.
  5. Doesn't matter the KGSS has single-ended and balanced inputs.
  6. I'd like to get a dac to pair with my recently acquired O2/KGSS rig. I'm currently using my APL modded Philips SACD1000 but there's a pretty big portion of music that I only have on hard drives. I'd like to keep this as inexpensive as possible but if I can't find anything to my liking I'm willing to wait it out awhile. I'll mostly likely be using the DAC with a Squeezebox as the transport.

Nope I don't think it is at all, in fact when I've heard the He60+kgss combo in the past I didn't like it very much at all. Too much treble energy and the he60 sucks at getting tonality right.
  8. Isn't this your 2nd or 3rd go around with hp2's?
  9. tkam replied to tkam's topic in Headphones
Agreed, the O2+KGSS combo is really a treat to listen to it. Aside from all the audiophile accolades I could go on about I'll just say that it's a fun and very enjoyable combo.

I can certainly do that at some point but they won't be using the same source. They are great, hows that?

I've had the O2's since Tuesday bought was unable to use them till today when my KGSS showed up
  14. I do tend to agree that there's a good possibility that many of the boutique audio products we buy aren't grounded properly.
  15. Almost forgot this, pretty cool little tool let's you see what your favorite sites would look like and how'd they work on a phone w/ Opera Mini: http://www.operamini.com/demo/
  16. I have an iPhone and I still think Opera Mini is the best browser for cell phones.

The following fields have been added: Headphones Headphone Amps Pre-Amps & Power Amps Speakers Sources Just a reminder you can access them under profile -> forum profile information
  18. I've never heard of that issue, it's never been a problem in my ps3. Discs don't come out any hotter than they do out of just about anything.
  19. No might about it, the PS3 will only do sacd over hdmi.
  20. External Lite-On DVD Burner
  21. its especially useful in the "what are you listening to now" thread and it's 1100+ pages

  23. Ok so we can now add custom fields in user profiles. I'm thinking we'll do a few standard ones for people to put their gear in but I'm open to suggestion on some other fields we could add. I added one already "Headphones & Speakers" you can see @ profile -> forum profile information

Good question someone test it and let me know .

blessingx, lets say we have a few threads going for serial shows (Lost, BSG, etc). These shows pretty often have twists and turns in every episode. If we start discussing the details of those twists from the latest episode, the spoiler tag can let people who haven't seen the last episode yet still be a part of the conversation without ruining the twists for them before they get a chance to watch. Pretty simple .
