  1. Don't have any pictures yet but I bought a pair of O2's and a KGSS yesterday
  2. Oh yeah the archetypes have lots of wiggle but your right the big pain is leveling the shelves when you put it together.
  3. Nevermind your right they don't offer sidepanels for the archetype series just for the more expensive lines.
  4. The archetype 5 will hold all that just fine, it's not going to be the most sturdy rack though just by the nature of it's design. If you got it with the optional side-panels (i think they still offer those) it'd be a more rigid rack.
  5. It was either last year or late '06 can't remember really, they really did sound pretty similar to the soundstage graphs though . Very little low-end an aggressive and compressed midrange and not much treble resolution. JimP, if you don't really have any space constraints you might want to take a look at line arrays.
  6. I'd go with the Pico, it works wonderfully as a dac and can drive most headphones pretty well.
  7. Haven't heard the Triumphs but I really like Coincident speakers I don't think you can go wrong with them.
  8. I would avoid most of the Zu speakers like they are the plague. I'm not sure how much they've changed the Druid's lately but I when I heard them a year or so ago they sounded absolutely terrible. Here's some measurements from a review done in 2002: http://www.soundstagemagazine.com/measurements/zucable_druid/
  9. oh man that sucks, i hope the surgery and recovery go well.
  10. I might be joining the headcase stax crowd soon, I'm seriously considering setting up an O2 rig.
  11. Sorry about the brief outage today guys, had to make some emergency repairs to the database, one of the main tables was corrupting itself. It should be all fixed now.
  12. the vrds-neo transport is rock solid, but they are expensive as fuck. only recently did they start selling them to oem's i'm not sure what the pricing is now but it was originally $3k a piece (in lots of 50). it's about as overbuilt as you can get, if i recall correctly it weighs something along the lines of 23 lbs by itself. it does come with a lifetime warranty though.
  13. so the lasers typically go bad in those players every 3-4 years? that seems like a pretty short time to me.

    The Menace

Nate, have you tried the 7802's in the Menace yet?
  16. That's only valid if the IT guy has enough understanding of the code to fix or patch it himself. Otherwise he's relying on the apps authors for fixes and patches just like he is with proprietary closed source software.
  17. I use google analytics for stats here on head-case. It's free and takes all of 2 seconds to setup and reports a fairly in-depth amount of data. I'm happy with it and have no plans on changing. Yes it does have integration with adwords/adsense
  18. didn't bother getting the 24/96 wav's since the squeezebox can't handle them.
  19. thats what happens when i make changes late at night and forget to double check the permission settings . should be all set now.
  20. those of you having problems downloading from the prior link, give this one a try. it worked much better for me and if thats the same for others i'll scrap the old download system for this new one.
  21. This is another media related feature so I'll mention it here. Now if you attach an image, if someone clicks on it it'll expand up to full-size. Click the picture attached to this post to see what I mean. It'll pop-up other in-line images as well but the real benefit is getting to see the full-size of attached images.
  22. any thoughts on Nate's amp?
  23. added to the download section here

    GTA IV

Do you have a 60gig ps3? That seems to be the one having the most problems with it. If you haven't already I'd make sure you have the latest firmware update.
