  1. Al, Yes, I like it a lot. It's Park Avenue Liquor's private label, made by Tuthilltown. This particular bottle is a 50/50 bourbon/rye mix. I had a bottle from the first batch (the aptly named Batch 1) and I loved it. It's a nice mix of the bourbon-y vanilla overtones with an underlying rye bite. This is Batch 4 and I anticipate much in the way of tastiness.
  2. I pretty much despise tequila. I'm donating it to my parents' house.
  3. Except for the bourrye, I kind of phoned it in. I need to find moar cool stuff like Al.
  4. Well then that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks HPA. EDIT Also, Handbrake doesn't appear to offer a preset for the iPad...the closest seem to be "iPhone/iPod Touch" or "AppleTV." Does it matter which I use? Should I use a different preset altogether?
  5. Another stupid question... I just got season 3 of The Muppet Show on DVD (The Muppets FTMFW, btw), and now I want to jam it onto my iPad. How?
  6. Good point--I'm better off shouting than using AT&T here.
  7. Wrong. If it works well in Manhattan, it is good enough for the rest of you. How does Tmo work on my island?
  8. All your JH16 are belong to Brent!
  9. Good job on the pans, Jeff. Those are Missus Monkey endorsed, btw. She got the set we have currently while working at the Food Network.
  10. My experience has been as follows. I got the D50 to photograph the little monkey and I'm glad I did. However, I also wish I had a good, small P&S so that I would take it everywhere. To me, the keys for cameras and babies are convenience, speed, low-light capability. Convenience because you never know when you'll want to snap a pic; speed because that first smile is fleeting and then later the kid moves really fast, and low-light capability because it's nice not to have to use the flash. I've found video to be a pain in the ass.
  11. Vicki, I've taken that NSAID before (the brand is Mobic, right?) and it was very effective. Glad to hear it's helping.
  12. Grrr...sorry to hear that, Al. I hate it when stuff doesn't work. It will be interesting to see what the level of customer service is with a piece of gear like this. Regardless, it will work out.
  13. Right on, Ian.
  14. I like fancy.
  15. I love it when someone brings great vintage gear back to life. Beautiful amp, Gene.
  16. I would pass on those.
  17. Spiders. Ugh.
  18. Nate, Brent called you a petite 50-year old woman...
  19. ^that there is a win, folks.
  20. With the amount of time it has already been delayed and the fact that the beta has expanded, I think Q4 is much more likely.
  21. The logic goes something like this: "You didn't hear what I wanted you to hear, so go back and listen until your opinion changes so that my worldview remains intact." Betcha didn't know cables could do that.
  22. iCandy.
  23. Wow, I find that surprising. It will be very interesting to see how Apple handles this.
