Fuck in snow
It's weird. NYC generally doesn't do this. But it looks like we're right in the path of the high accumulations. And there haven't been many, if any, snow days, so I guess they figured that it makes sense to call it.

The Quad thread
I'd love the 12s but the smaller the better in the name of marital bliss (or something approximating it). EDIT: "and that's what she said or didn't say" as the case may be.

That's why I won't go to those forums. I think Dusty is trying to lure me in to the madness, though. And I feel the pull....

I couldn't agree more. That review, like most others at that site, really doesn't say anything. Reminds me of sitting through an hour-long PowerPoint presentation by a consultant.

Yeah, that would be very cool.

How Can I Tell What Scew Size I Need for a Threaded Insert
This is for the KGSS DX. I'm pretty sure the largest screw that will fit is an 8-32. But it's not quite that simple. First, the feet I want have 1/4-20 inserts. Second, getting to the currently installed screws means removing the PCB and I am not keen on doing that. The feet are currently secured with 4-40 machine screws. I was thinking that I could try a 4-40 to 1/4-20 adapter, but those things ain't cheap. This might be a no-go.

How Can I Tell What Scew Size I Need for a Threaded Insert
Basically a two part question. I want to get some isolation feet for some of my gearses and speakerses. The speakers are easy, as I know they are M6. But... 1) How would I go about determining the thread size where I don't currently have a screw? In other words, the component has a threaded insertion point, but I don't know what size it takes. 2) For those components where I want to replace the current feet, what's the proper way to measure the screw so that I arrive at the proper thread size?

I think I'm in the same boat. Good suggestion. I have some similar stuff from UE that I never used. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Ugh, poor thing. Hopefully, it's just a quick bug. Unfortunately, when Little Monkey has those symptoms, it tends to be an ear infection. I hope that's not the case here.
