  1. I should have spelled that correctly, you are right, my apologies and it is indeed on the website and specially states so. The pico idea crossed my mind, but I'm already using a TTVJ slim/Dac, so for my next step, in a home set up, I would want to be a real big step in gear, otherwise it seems the Pico would be more lateral then huge upgrade. As well, I would like the option down the road for other phones other then the JH13. I'm not saying the pico and or slim or any combo mentioned above does not serve this purpose....
  2. I had thought of it, but I like the flexibility of having my headphones separate from my system and if I want to go to other flavor of headphones down the line, I can...I like options...JH3A does not give as many at this time for me...
  3. This is what I thought the Sonnet was capable of, I do want to sauce things up first...could Wild turkey work for the sauce...I think so... I have read that the SE version Sonnet matched the JH13's well as it has two gain's (low/high) and a good volume control (see above Beefy's comment). You have much more experience here, so for now, I'll put a ? next to my amp choice for myself and keep researching. Regardless, It's going to be source first for me. Thanks for the advice. I have gathered the same, but due to my inexperience with high end systems, I was unsure if i was wasting money for something that sounds good with everything, especially with the amp section, I think the biggest gain would be in the DAC itself...cheers...
  4. Fuck, how did I miss this earlier? Thanks for the pennies, and yup, I think this is the direction to go. Thanks.
  5. I would say a great source would be the answer, with the amp almost functioning as a buffer afterward (maybe?), so a better source I would think is my first step
  6. Thanks Salt, but speakers is not an option at this time. But I will keep that in mind for the future. Thanks.
  7. I'm back to reading and keeping my mouth shut, apologizes to all. I do not want to end up in reks's basement.
  8. good point...I was curious and I apologize..not sure what got into me this morning...
  9. fuck boys, unhelpful, even if funny...I know they are better then crack, fuck...maybe this q is HF bound after all....
  10. For those of us without access to the casino, was Gilmore permanently banned, and for what? He was a very interesting read, even if most flew over my head...I haven't seen anything mentioned about this, I am guessing it has to do with the ChiUni stuff?
  11. Howdy all, My name is Barry. I
  12. Thanks Monkey. It's interesting you say that as I was thinking the same and I'm not sure what use and/or utility I would actually get out of the bridge for the effort. Cheers.
  13. I've been looking long and hard at the PWD as well, and I think they are running the trade-in program again. Why is the bridge less desirable to you now? Just curious.
  14. Charley’s, on Newbury St, has good burgers and is pretty reasonable price wise for the area. For some reason I tried to post earlier, but since I fucked that one anyway and didn’t read your post fully, I’m glad it didn’t go through…I’ll go back to reading (this time with comprehension) now….
  15. This is pretty fun and is easily accessible by red line MBTA Museum of Science, Boston | Home This is inexpensive, has a great selection, and is often underrated. It is also accessible by red line and a few walking blocks: Harvard Art Museums / Welcome There is a lot to do here….have fun….

This I disagree with. There is almost too much information, that in order to understand it, you need to search and read and read and read. If you are newer to the hobby, like myself, this is the only way to do it, read, read, read. Everything that you would want to know is here and is talked about. Everything. My simple rule for this site. Keep my head down, mouth shut, and learn. This forum does not fuck around. I 'practice' posting on the other site sometimes because it's just that, practice. On this site, unless you know your shit, know the site members, or can contribute, keep your mouth shut and use this site to snuff out the bullshit spouted from the other or to vet information....
  19. Hi Mark, you may want to look at this site: Forums - Head-Fi.org Community It's a site that is more like minor league baseball compared to this site being the major leagues, and you may get some more responses for your inquiry. Or you could just listen to boomana, call it a day, and cut your losses.
  20. That’s what she said.... Also after sending them back twice for refit's for the same exact symptoms as elnero and justin (right side) and they still didn't fit quite right, Brit told me to re-shoot my right impression and send it back with the monitors. So I did, and now am waiting to receive them again, hopefully the third and final time is the charm. I thought I had a perfect fit at first, then I gradually began to become aware of fit issues while walking, etc.
  21. NO you have to pay extra Yes.
  22. I jumped on the deal because this thread (and if Monkey is happy, then anyone is happy)in the end, so thanks....
