  1. This ^, It definitely takes away the moist brown factor - and there goes 95% of marketing strategy....
  2. i'm waiting for Cavalli to claim that the LL2 and subsequent electrostatic amps actually go into negative distortion. And everybody knows that negative distortion equals commensurate musicality - The moar the bettah...... The big question here is:- How do you measure a pig in a poke..? Length, width, rotundicity, mass or shade of lipstick...?

  4. Happy Birthday, Mr. Chalk......
  5. This may help with tinnitus, but then again, may not. Your money - your risk...... https://www.carusosnaturalhealth.com.au/product/106/memory-recall
  6. Good thing Mikhail didn't know Edstrelow, or it would have been stuffed with sorbathane to smooth out the mistakes.
  7. What Mr Strelow needs here is an arc of sorb over his head from one ear to the other, and forget about the headphones. That way he can imagine just how good the music sounds without the problem of any mechanical cumbrances, Win-win, right there.....
  8. It NEVER ceases to amaze me how some people can't understand that all hearing is not created equal.
  9. Nice collection. Is that the main collection, or just the most referenced CDs..?
  10. That'd be $50K to offset the bling factor.....
  11. Audition is good. Purchase is expensive.
  12. I just hope all top tier headphones cost over US$20,000... That way I won't have to worry about purchasing any of 'em......
  13. Wisdom comes with age...... sometimes....... I may like to hear the new toys doing the rounds, but the want/need to acquire the same has diminished with the advancing years. As usual YMMV.
  14. catscratch, for one.... One pile of stinking moist brown is way too much......
  15. The disturbing thought here is that he has priced his set higher than the Sennheiser HE-1 in China. What if he realises that there are soccer stars, baseball stars, Dr Dre, Miss Piggy, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, etc., who have the same mentality and decides to jack the price up to somewhere around 25% over the Sennheisers so he can rope that crowd in.
  16. Perhaps he uses scalar technology..... nope, can that thought.......
  17. That ad has been on ebay for at least 6 years that I know of. I'd buy a truckload of them if it was in Zimbabwe dollars... http://www.ebay.com/itm/ONE-HUNDRED-TRILLION-DOLLAR-BILL-ZIMBABWE-2008-FREE-US-SHIP-100-000-000-000-000-/252573269917?hash=item3ace8a3f9d:g:JTIAAOSw4shX6Ioh
  18. Yeah, but.... 13 hours battery life..... If you connect a truck battery, you get about a years worth of goodness. What's not to like.....
  19. But, but... awww c'mon - they're a collectors item...... You're not really supposed to use them... Just sit it on a shelf as a showpeice. Apparently at RMAF Fang expressed the hope of perhaps someone buying one..... Perhaps the price is so high because he wants to keep it for hisself.......
  20. You could countersink/counterbore the mounting hole slightly...
  21. Can it do a nice espresso or flat white...? ...or does it only do (spit) (spit) lattes...?
  22. For moar glitz, http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Stax-Headphones-Kopfhorer-Earspeaker-Pro-Bias-Socket-Jack-Chassis-Panel-Mount-/182299104758?hash=item2a71df95f6:g:omUAAOSwn9lXJzOC
