Bill Evans - Live at the Village Vanguard is an impressive recording. Good rock can really make the Omegas shine as well. I really like the Pixies MFSL SACDs (I have only heard Surfer Rosa, Doolittle). Surfer Rosa is stunning on the Omega 2. Megadeth Countdown to Extinction is another good sounding MFSL disc. (Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction - Gold CD). My favorite jazz album in the AP SACD series: Lee Morgan - Lee-Way (Lee Morgan - Lee-way - Hybrid Stereo SACD). I haven't heard the SACD, but the 45 sounds exceptional. But the SACD is a proper DSD transfer by Hoffman so it's probably good too. Obviously I'm not a big fan of boring audiophile music

I'm not sure. I've almost always played AR, and this is the first time I got him. Strangely I didn't have any desire to play him when he was released. Yeah I haven't played in about six months, and there are so many changes now.

ESP/950 are a strange headphone. On my first pair the squeal would mostly stay in one channel, but would then move to the other channel intermittently. The second pair were fine, but I didn't put too many hours on them.

One nice thing about some of the Japanese CD reissues (including some SHM CDs) is they often try and replicate the artwork from the original LPs except in CD sized prints. I suppose worth the extra money to some assuming the mastering is good.
